Thoughts? Impressions?

I'm not sure about it.
Two of the poems were pretty damn hard and some of the questions for the other passages were confusing as well.

Thoughts? Impressions?

I'm not sure about it.
Two of the poems were pretty damn hard and some of the questions for the other passages were confusing as well.

I thought it was pretty hard…when is the embargo lifted so we can discuss?

I don’t know when it’s lifted but I might cancel because i dont want this score to mess up my other 730+ scores.

i was surprised that i actually recognized two of the passages…i didnt realize it right off the bat though lol

that first poem sucked.

The play thing was pretty straightforward though

i didn’t love the questions. thought it was great to see one of my favorite plays used! that made my day!!

i didn’t think it was incredibly hard but there were definitely some tricky ones. i actually read the first poem in english last year so it was good to see that one on there. one of the prose selections messed me up a bit though.

and i think the embargo is lifted?

i thought the questions were easier than the ones in my princeton review practice book… the last two passages gave me the most difficulty, but maybe it was just because i was straining my eyes to focus at that point.

the passage from the yellow wallpaper (about the woman with nervous tendencies) – what did you get for the “EXCEPT” question about why she constantly switched between first person “I” and third person “one”? also, what about the authority of the physician question?

except question i think i said something like she was exaggerating her condition?

authority of physician I said except that her meds were working

i’m really bad at making a list, but can anyone do that? I think it would be good for all not sure of their actual score to see where they might be.

the last poem, what were the last two answers?

hmm, for the yellow wallpaper question about the authority of the physician, i said it was because john was her husband. there was some quote about how, because john the physician was also her husband, “perhaps (although i dare not say it, blahblah i’ll write it down on paper) that is why he does not believe me.” i forget the actual wording.

last two questions: i said the speaker didn’t like “compromise,” and that he was “exhortatory.”

also, what was the question which asked how the player (or maybe it was Rosencrantz) felt about Guildenstern…choices were earnest, ironic, and other things i can’t recall

The test was depressing!
Every passage had some mention of death, old age or despair.

Im not sure how I did, I feel a bit iffy about it.

uhh earnest? also i said that guildenstern wanted plays to reveal truth (for a different question)

yeah the death theme was really overwhelming! i expected at least one cute little poem about glow worms (like in my princeton review practice test). haha

actually i thought earnest was the right answer for one question b/c guildenstern was so earnest (had serious conviction in what he thought was right) throughout the passage.

also, for the childhood memory passage, what was the answer to the first question about the effect of the first sentence?

there was some question about what the player would believe about theatre in general. the options were: conventions of theatre were necessary, something else, something else, drama needs a mix of illusion and reality. i chose the last one. anyone else?

for the childhood memory thing, i think i wrote something about chronology… but i wasn’t too sure about that.

i thought the player question answer was something like you should show the audience what they expect…or maybe im thinking of a different question and that wouldn’t make sense there

also, for the passage about livy running away…
the question that was like: what is the speaker saying about his enemies
and the question with the choices like “confusing values, contradictory feelings, dogmatic tendencies?”

@cloisvelle: i also put the last one.

i hated all of the I, II, III questions.

on ros and guil, i said that II, “paradoxically, life imitates art” was the one NOT included. anyone else?
