about the x<y ans r<s…

are we sure the question didn’t ask you to consider just positive numbers?

1800? i dont even remember what i put. but im pretty sure i put C or D. which answer choice was 1800?

GUYS,

no one seems to be getting this one right:

how many values for (x+6)^2 = 0???

it is NONE!!! because you have to distribute…:

(x+6)(x+6)=x^2+6x+6x+12= x^2+12x+12 = 0

What interger can you put to get zero…NONE!

I think the 1800 question wasn’t multiple choice. You had to fill it in yourself.

Wait, Tuftsbound, you could plug in -6.
(x+6)^2 = 0
(-6+6)^2 = 0
(0)^2 = 0

oh thanks  i guess i might have gotten it wrong then, thats what happens when u think questions are easy ■■■

Oh and if you distribute it, it would be
x^2 + 12x + 36 = 0.
36, not 12.

to tuftsbond:the answer was 1 ie -6 check your expansion because 6*6 isnt 12. its 36 so the equation has to x^2+12x+36

(x+6)(x+6) = x^2+6x+6x+36 = x^2+12x+36… x^2+12x = -36, x*(x+12) = -36, x=-6. you could also use -12±sqrt(144-144) / 2 which gives you -6 with multiplicity 2.

the better way of course was to just look at it and see -6 works :P

tuftsbound you distributed wrong.

I’m an idiot! I put two for that x+6 equation. I was going too quickly and once I saw the power i immediately marked two…

Is it still possible to ge t800 if I miss one question?

What is the x<y, r<s question’s answer ?

cermi it is! each wrong answer is -1/4 and between 56 raw score to 54 raw score, one is able to get an 800.but im not ■■■ about 10 of them wrong ie like -2.5 so possibly a 650-780 since most of them were the grid in section and its a non-penalized section

Only I was right. II and III were wrong.

A.) I only.

Thanks for info. I wouldnt mind 780 or 790 but 800 just looks better. And know when I found out I wasnt fully paying attention I’m afraid I might’ve done more mistakes.

just b optimistic mehn, besides im just looking to get into the college i want. Aiming for 1350 to 1580 hopefully. aim 4 what u want,UR NOT PENALIZED FOR BEING OPTIMISTIC lol

The scatter plot question, what was the first reading on the x-axis? Anyone still remember??

Scatter-plot question was y=5x+20 I believe.

hey guys did any of you have that questions where they asked what would happen if you were to double the values of the variables?

Like it said what would happen to r if you doubled the values of s and t or something (and then they had one of them multiplied by a square).
