Ughh. I’m so friggin stupid. :I I can’t believe I got that one wrong.

@hluoluoluo: I think the answer is just that the tree grows from the top, so the scar stays on the same place. Otherwise, there is no formula and it would be extremely complicated. But I’m not sure so please sb confirm

Don’t worry, that was a tough one:P

I only got it after recognizing the problem from one of my practice tests

@shirafune: did you put 6? i put 6…
totally fell for it.

@Emirald, ya it was the exact same test.

If only I read all the forums…

Can someone explain the tree growth to me?

LIKE WHERE DID THAT QUESTION EVEN COME FROM?? D:

I felt like there were a lot of trick questions on this one (or maybe it was Math II. I don’t know. My memory has been completely screwed over in the last 3 hours)

I need a link to the may 2010 thread, I can’t find it!!!

is collegeboard allowed to distribute the same test? it would pose an unfair advantage for those who knows of the previous one which appears to be the same test…

BUT no one is supposed to be discussing questions so legally no one could know.

@Emirald
No, I put 0.9. I reasoned that plants only grow at the top of a tree and at their roots, but then again, I didn’t take AP Bio.

I omitted 2. So far I got 2 wrong as well. The eardrums and what does auxin do one. But realistically, I probably got 4-5 wrongs. Still. Test was soo easy lol.

Omitted four, 1 wrong?

Anyone know the answer to this:

Which of the following is required for sexual reporduction:
-Nonmotile sperm and egg
-Haploid gametes

?

i think i put haploid gametes

Same I put Haploid Gamete. Nonmotile sperm can’t be one. The sperm after all have to swim to the egg.

Ok, good… someone was arguing that nonmotile sperm was the answer

For people who have E, what did get for the one about 3 leaves at 200 light thing. I got 2000.

i just matched it with the graph. i can’t remember what i got but i dont remember putting 2000… o_o

I thought it was because they had two pairs of centromeres, allowing mitosis to occur. I didn’t think it was Haploid gametes because a gametophyte generation in plants and possibly because most plants are polyploydic.

According to Barron’s plant section, a Gametophye is “A haploid adult plant”.

Well the thing is, when I matched it. It was between 500-1000, like 700ish. And i was thinking that since it said something about 3 leaves, it would be 2000, because there was no option between 500 and 1000.
