OCTOBER SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

I think I got 30pi, though I'm not entirely sure

no it was definitely 30 pi.
the radius is 3
the height is 2
plug in and check again.

What did everyone get for the last question?

I think this test was ok, omitted 4 and I had time to double check the others. And I agree that the practice CB tests were definitely a bit easier than the real one for today.

I thought the test was dumb, it was nothing like the practice tests they issued.

What does 4 blank, 6-8 wrong mean for me?

I think the general consensus is that the test was quite hard
i just hope i got a 700+, or else this will be an embarrassment

if i answered 46, skipped 4, and got like 3 wrong, what score is that???

for sure 1 and 4...

hey guys his is from page 10

but is the 1/sinx answer choice B? does anyone remember?

Pton - I think it was.

can we just talk percentiles? I'm worried that my percentile will be nasty in the 700-750 range which is what it looks like i've got.

Yes, it was, Pton.

JCY2009 - a 750 is NOT a bad score.

Yes, unfortunately, the answer was 52.5 minutes walking.

And it was I and IV. I'm pretty certain of this.

Does anyone know what the answer was to the arithmetic sequence where you're given a1, a2, the formula, and asked to find a4?

wait I thought we had to wait a while till we could discuss the questions :O

the right answers to some of the qns discussed:

|x| + |y| = p (what is the equation of the square)
z-score remains the same
30pi (surface area of cone)
52.5 minutes of walking (treadmill)
1/sinx (decreasing graph)
x^5 + x^3 - x (replace with -x and still get same set of solutions)
I and IV (can't remember which qn, but it's this)
n (log qn)
{2, 1/2, -1} (functions combined in series qn)

2 questions possibly wrong, finished with 1 or 2 minutes left on the clock.

|x| + |y| = p (what is the equation of the square)

Does anybody remember what answer choice this was?

x^5 + x^3 - x - anybody remember which answer choice that was?

I believe it was b or c

definitely not c, that was x4 something... are you sure it wasn't a? that was my last second tip after I knew c&d were wrong:)

I couldn't find an anser to that one. Every single answer had at least one odd exponent.

TBOL3, if all are odd exponents, it is the same as saying (-1)f(x)

^Yes, the correct answer had all exponents. It was C I think.
