OCTOBER SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

yea it is ... 1/sinx

<gayness>
bangs head against wall
</gayness>

I thought that it was fairly easy, I just didn't study at all for it, which prevented it from being really easy.

I ended up skipping 4 (erm, 2 were at the end and I ran out of time ;/), and I missed the stupid 3 planes one, but besides that I'm confident in all my answers. Hoping for an 800.

wink, yay i was right about that one! woohooooo.

i'm really mad at myself for missing the standard deviation/z score one. i took AP stats last year and got a 5. wow..

someone pleease reason why z score doubles. i cant afford anotehr one wrong and i kind of guessed on that one but it would be nice if it was right!

it doesn't double :)

just a quick question: on my collegeboard account, all is says is that my registration for math 2 is complete, it doesn't say anything at all about exam completed and scores will be out on 10/xx, like it normally does. Is it just too early?

yeah i put 1/sin x for that one
what did you all get for the one fourth of the distance question?
no Crystal, 600 here I come, not you :P

haha chandler. ORRRR, we can have a cry fest together on 10/23 about or 600s. mark it on your calendar.

what did you all get for the one fourth of the distance question?

I think the coordinates were something like (1.5, 5.5): I don't remember the exact values. I just did the midpoint formula twice.

sounds like a plan crystal, we shall definitely commiserate.
except it'll be me with a 600 and you with a (gasp) 790 hahaha :P
i have faith! (in your score)

the 1/4 distance one was C. i don't remember the coordinates though.

I think the coordinates were something like (1.5, 5.5): I don't remember the exact values. I just did the midpoint formula twice.

i dont remember
but it was c

YES! i got 1.5,5.5 too
but that question took me a lot of work lol

I don't remember the letter for the distance one, but I think Hippo's coordinates are right...

yeah i got C! alrighttt haha
-49, +1
maybe i got a 210!!!

It was definitely (1.5, 5.5), im 100% sure. What was the answer for the one with two planes? i think the choices were a point, line or a ray.

Did anyone get the one with the person running on the treadmill? I left that one blank, but I'm curious as to how you all got the answer. I'm actually mad at myself for blanking out on that one, because there was one question like it in each of the practice tests I took. Grrr......

What did you guys get for the "p" one, with the square with coordinates ...?

Treadmill - I got 50 minutes, but I didn't actually calculate it...just sort of...guessed.
There's a reason why math is my worst subject.

yeah i blanked out on the treadmill and skipped it... ik there's an easy solution too!

the tredmill was 52.5 minutes walking, or 3.5 miles of walking, I think it was the last option.
