<p>Does anybody know of any off campus housing options around the campus area? Also, does anybody know if I can use scholarships issued to the school to pay for rent?</p>
<p>Scholarships issued to the school will first go to reduce any loans you were going to take out, then they will reduce need-based grants. I very highly doubt they can be used to offset your off-campus rent. Instead, you might look into the on-campus apartments OR ask the scholarship granter if they would consider making the checks payable to you.</p>

<p>teblue, I just posted a link on another thread for a new off campus housing apt complex. I’m not familiar with it, but D said it is very close to campus, and she has tons of friends living there next year. Red Road apts are also pretty convenient. In terms of scholarships, it depends on the terms of the scholarship. Some are for tuition only. Others allow for flexibility in their use.</p>
