Off-site Auditions

For anyone that may have auditioned for CMU at an off-site location such as Chicago during the Unifieds, approximately how long does the audition process take? I’m trying to manage my other auditions on this same date and wanted to make sure I allow enough time on either end.

I think they said to leave four hours for MT.

My daughter’s was two years ago in NYC and it took a little over three hours.

D auditioned at last year’s Chicago Unifieds—3 hours start to finish for her but some were there longer/shorter.

BTW, my D ended up choosing CMU. She’s halfway through her sophomore year and LOVING it. Very intense, but very rewarding. I’m happy to answer any questions from a parent’s perspective on the audition or the program.

My daughter also auditioned at NY Unifieds and it took her about 3 hours as well. Glad xatty that your daughter loves it! My daughter is a senior and couldn’t have had a better experience!

Does anyone know who the other woman was with Barbara Wood at the LA Unifieds who took half of the auditioners? we could not find her on the website?

I wasn’t there, nor do I have direct information. However, until someone responds, I will provide an educated guess that the other professor was Kaf Warman.

Kaf Warman was at the Chaicago Unifieds , so likely she went on to LA Unifieds as well.

YES! It was Kaf! She auditioned half of auditionees for acting and sent some of us over to Barbara to work our monologues!

I believe she teaches drama and movement.

Yes, you are right! Kaf teaches acting and movement. I was a student at pre college this summer! She’s very movement driven!

what are the audition requirements for MT at CM??

dolores, their website may be the easiest source of that information.
