nah he means that he already had a nomination from a moc already so no need to get another. The senator can use it to nominate someone else. For usma a senator rescinded a nomination of mine since I was already in. Technicalities.....anyways congrats everyone.

naps06,
I am seriously questioning your judgement for repeatedly posting that obscene video. Take a minute and review the rules of this discussion group.

naps06,
officers are honest too..."Sir/ma'am No Excuses, Sir/ma'am"

you posted the link three times on two separate threads!

Hi , I am from CT, and I just heard on Saturday that I was medically qualified. I received an LOA in the beginning of Otober, and my MOC gave me a nomination in late November....so I'm in. All I have to do now is wait for the mail man to bring my appointment letter!!!

MODADKC - jq722 is correct, I already had a nomination from Hulshof, so that's how I got my acceptance.

To all concerned. I sincerely apologize for posting that video. I did not mean to offend anybody and if i did i hope you will accept my apology.

Sincerely,

Rosa

Thank you Rosa.

ec1214 - congratulations! that's awesome! i'm in the same boat as you right now....that mailman needs to hurry up and get us our appointments! :-D

Congratulations!!!

Rosa

congrats dad'2b!

For all those who have recived LOA's and appointments, i am wondering how you all did on your CFA. what were your numbers? i am taking mine on friday and i am very nervous. do you have any advise for me? i have trained for the test quite hard for quite a while but i am still concerned. please can you tell me what numbers you had to get your appointments. thank you sooo much. i have no one to talk to about this, where i come from no one has gone to a service accademy in a long time

Chris

I heard from a few students that the CFA was "to see if you had limbs." I also heard that it was a pass/fail deal. I received a LOA, so here are my scores (for a female):

Basketball toss: 27 ft
Arm hang: 28 sec
Shuttle run: 10.1 sec
Sit ups: 98
Push ups: 75
Mile run: 6:27

We also did the PFT while we were there. I'm not sure how much impact that had, if any (especially since the 1.5 mile run was so crowded...heh, good memories).

Push ups: 70
Sit ups: 95
1.5 mile run: 10:17

They have my cross-country/track times. I'm not sure how much of an impact that had on my LOA.

5k: 19:32
1600m: 05:42
3200m: 11:49

It's all about practice, so I think you'll do fine. Just do your best and don't stop.

HINTS:
- Do not eat lunch right before your CFA.
("Lunch was good, but not so much the second time around." ---Nick B, S105A21)
- Honey is the miracle food.
("Go ahead. Put honey on everything. I'm serious." ---Adam B, S105A21)

Relax and be confident...pumped!!!!!
You can always retake it if your not satisfied.
Pass is vital (and they will tell you if you don't pass).
Beyond passing, it's just another part of the total package.
Also, if you have been working really hard to prep...take tonight and tomorrow off...Do NOTHING.

Attitude and speed my friend.

Don't sweat it and GOOD LUCK!

Shawna -
You and my son are in the same predicament. Maybe you two can sit down and hash it out...you know, share some perspectives sometime before May 1. ;)

Pushups: 21
Situps: 72-ish
Shuttle: 10.2-10.4?
Arm Hang: 33 sec
1 mile: 8:40
Basketball: 45-ish

dad2b: congratulations to your son. Best of luck on the decision.
