Offers of Appointment for class of 2010

Dad2B`2010, have you gotten your appointment in the mail yet?

Nope. Told it won't arrive until after the holidays.

I spoke to my BGO (who was the interviewer for my MOC that i got a nomination from) and he told me that i was #1 on that MOC's list. Being #1 on the list does that mean that i will most likely get an appointment? i heard the #1 person gets an apointment automaticly and the rest then have to fight for the rest of the spots nationaly. is that true? if so how long do you think it will take for me to get my appointment letter?

I have received my official appointment to the US Naval Academy... and might I add that I am exuberant. I knew it was coming, but it's all the more reassuring to see it. I can't wait. c/o 2010, GO NAVY BEAT ARMY.

Congratulations!!

Death by Happiness

How did your process work? LOA? or 3Q'd then the nomination then the appointment? Just curious.

I got an LOA on Halloween. Then, I got two nominations a week or two ago, and my Senator's nomination staff called to tell me an appointment would be coming this week.

Congrats DbH!!!

Thanks all, and good luck to everyone. I hope to see you all wearing those beloved Dixie Cups come June 28th.

DBH: congratulations!~ T-182 days 'till I-Day, Class of 2010! Be sure to enjoy every one of them! ;)

Haha, I was going to make a countdown on my calendar, but I forgot. Thanks for reminding me.

Congratulations DbH! I got my offer yestersday. It hasn't fully sunken in yet. I'll see everybody on I-Day, Good luck to all the rest still waiting and thanks to everyone who has posted and keeps on posting.

hbc025: congrats! another plebe-to-be!

You who recently got your appointments--did you have a LOA? or were you just triple q'd?

LOA but I needed a medical waiver to be fully qualified

I got 3 qualified, and once my scholastic qualification came (at Thanksgiving time), then everything picked up. I got my Congressional nom two weeks later and an appointment two weeks after that.

I had an LOA, and once DoDMERB cleared me I got the Appointment.

I had my LOA.

Congrats to each and everyone one of you that have gotten an LOA, or even an appointment already. I am in the class of 2009, but it took me a while to get in so for those of you that haven't heard back yet, don't give up. It took me 3 times to get in. Let me know if you have any questions...
