I think we’ll hear back from them next Friday (6/3) at the EARLIEST. People who were accepted last week have until the end of this Thursday to accept their spots, so I think the committee will take another week to reconvene and figure out who to accept. Also, last year people heard back on the first Friday of June, so… #fingerscrossed

@saidandleft2020 Not yet, as I don’t have anything meaningful to add from the past month since my first update was sent in. However, if I’m put on an extended waitlist or something, then I’ll probably try and come up with something
If this makes you ever slightly more optimistic, I will be taking a gap year to pursue my other commitments. Hopefully, this opens up one more space for a deserving College Confidential member.

Yale released yesterday, UPenn today, maybe Columbia will release at anytime soon!
It might be a bit later though, since apparently the first round waitlisters have until the 27th to respond.
Does anyone here know how long it would take to finish I-20, Visa, etc so we can get a better sense of how much time we are left with before class starts?

@Learner12388 I’d think it depends on how quickly the int’l office at columbia processes your I-20 + how soon you can get a visa interview at your country’s US embassy. Asked my bro and he said he got his I-20 fedexed within a week of turning in his docs and then his visa within a week of his interview, so perhaps a month-ish?
