bfjava, I put No change from eliminating.. Am I stupid.. Is it a run-of-the-mill phrase? lol

Knavish, what did u get on the exam the first time you took it?

lol hahaha sorry, i thought you said you didn't know what it was :-P

i'm proly overthinking this but since the moon has 1/6th force of gravity of earth, then the mass on moon would also be 1/6th right? or no? :(

I got no change for run of the mill, none of the other answers made any sense in context.

avanex.. I had a 30 - 34 31 30 26

I was hoping to bring up science and score 32+

I don't know.. I suck at the ACT.. My SAT score supposedely matches a 33 ACT.. Haha.. Hell if I got that.

Knavish do you know when scores are reported and if we can get them early?

Hmm.. You can pay $6 to recieve your scores early on the net in around a week (don't know when exactly)

thier was a question in the science passafe about carbon, oxy, etc.. and the answers were like important, existent, not known... i was in hurry since i had about 4 min.

you can see your scores online for $8 I believe in 10 days. any other questions/comments?

I think the answer was carbon dioxide, i cant remember though

Yes, I think the answer was important for carbon dioxide.

damn... that was pretty hard compared to the december SAT... oh well..a nd yeah i got 14 for the period problem and carbon dioxide for the venus section

um, actuallt i meant the reading part but the science passage? im confused now

I got CO2 for that one too.

Anybody remember anymore questions? Seems like not too many people took the test today.

hey i feel so stupid but for some reason I think I did bad on math...I had to guess on like 15 of them cause I ran out of time!! But I think I did well on the other 3 sections so hopefully I can score a 30 crosses fingers (I have a 29 right now)

I think today's test was easier than the October test

yup me too...i just don't understand why I screwed up on math =(

I thought math was one of my better sections, i screwed up on Science I think.

Hye everyone!!!

Could you explain me how the ACT is graded? I took it for the first time today but I don't know exactly what is meant by scaled scores in ACT. For example, in the SATII writing even if you miss 4, you can still make 800. Therefore is it true for the ACT also or not? I did well on the English and Math but in the reading I guessed 10 questions( 1 passage) and in Science I guessed 5 questions ( last experiment) without even reading the questions. Therefore in case of reading assuming that I got 30 correct out of 40, would it be equivalent to a 27 on the ACT reading (75% of 36) or could it be different? Is it like a ratio of the correct answers/ total questions * 36? I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me with the scoring since I could not understand the guidelines on the ACT website clearly.

Thank you
