blackholezz, no, transfers do not have an online account. They will notify you via e-mail: "official" paper mail comes maybe a week or so later.

cool thanks frrrph (btw, love the name)

also, i didnt get an email regarding my app materials-- is that ok? i mean, i called them and they said it's complete. but for decisions do you think im on their mailing list?

I'd say, don't freak out about anything at this point. If you're sure you've sent everything in, at this point it's all up to the adcom and their administration - keep in mind that they have gone through this process over and over and over again and know what they're doing. You're not going to miss out on getting a message because of some oversight and glitch.

I know it's easy to freak out about small and/or administrative stuff (been there! twice!), but really, it's going to be fine. Trust the Zen, man, trust the Zen.

Hey, frrrph. I know from reading last year's forum that you are an international, and I wonder if you might have been notified via e-mail while domestic applicants were not. Do you know for a fact that all applicants receive e-mails before they get physical letters?

My impression from reading last year's forum was that domestic applicants all found out via snail-mail, but perhaps I'm mistaken?

Aah... that could be. But I was living in the US at the time, and I think I recall one of my domestic fellow-transfers getting the e-mail as well (it was phrased very matter-of-fact, so we joked about how both of us had to re-read it before realizing that yeah, it really did try to say we were admitted). But I could be mixing people up.

Just 96-144 more hours.

the more i think about it the more i feel i'm going to get rejected by yale.

what other schools did u guys apply to?

you're probably right juenatics.

^ what an ass!

Ok, this is coming from the anal guy who categorizes his underwear (don't judge, it saves time) y'all need to relaaaax. In one week we'll either be Yalies or won't. That's it.

Counting down the hours like this can't be healthy. Having a breakdown because you're certain you won't get it won't help either.

Don't make me quote Mika on your butts. I'll do it too.

i applied to stanford too. and that's really all i applied to - yale and stanford. not good, not good at all........

90-138 more hours.

84-132 more hours, in case you were wondering. Sorry I'll stop.

how do you figure only 132 hours? that's only five days. They said Mid May, meaning 10 more days, meaning 240 more hours.

yeah i think the 16th wast he date set we could call in and hear which means we will have heard before the 16th by some other means most likely

probably a couple days before then maybe next wed the 14th

Last year they came out on the 11th by email according to previous threads here. I don't think it'll be the 16th.

wow thats real soon

so whats yales transfer acceptance rate traditionally again? and is anybody buying this harvard isnt taking transfers so yale wont feel as pressured to accept students they think harvard will accept nonsense?
