Here is a scary thought....With over 26,000 apps received BC will have to reject or waitlist about 20,000.....kinda puts it all in perspective!

Out of interest, those who had the high qualifications but got rejected/waitlisted, would you have actually attended BC? or have you recieved better offers so to speak. Maybe to answer that question you will have to get back to me in a few weeks when you know all of your options...

I think BC rejected some of you guys not because you're not good enough, but because you're too dam good. They want students who they know will attend their institution. If you didn't express your desire to go to BC, they might look down on that. Beside, this year they're getting 26,000 applications, they got their choice of students to choose from thus it's more competitive for thost who doesn't have enough GPA or SAT. The Waitlist this year should be hell, I expects alot students will get waitlisted.

As for the Tufts syndrome thing, I don't see how that applies here. My scores aren't THAT good that they should automatically think it's one of my safeties, right?

lol wow....this thread makes me think i have no chance

The Tufts Syndrome does not apply to everyone.(It's not actually a "syndrome". Colleges want students who want them back; It makes perfect sense. You could avoid being a victim by showing interest through interviews, essays, and visits.) I took the time to do the optional interview. I hope that helped.

Some of you got rejected simply because they didn't want you :P

I hope I hear back tomorrow. I just need to get into college .......... any college.

yeah i got waitlisted too...w/ pretty good stats and everything . at first i was upset because it's the first school i heard back from and it made me nervous about the rest. i feel like i would love bc, but i would love the other schools i applied to as well. i mean, with 26500 apps, it's really kind of a crapshootas to who gets in. I'm definetely not pinning my hopes on bc though...i can't be on edge til June. Hopefully my other letters will be less of a let down. This site makes me feel better about being waitlisted though....

do you think sending additional material would somewhat sway their decision? My sats are kind of low (1940) and so is my gpa. Am I basically screwed?

Two people from my school heard alread.. one was waitlisted, the other was rejected. Rough year.

Can't wait to discover my own fate soon hopefully.

What state are you in ECM?

Northern NJ

Any other new waitlists?

If you get waitlisted, DONT SEND ANY ADDITIONAL STUFFS IN. It said so on the Website

Can you recover from Tufts Syndrome? :)

Good luck to the rest of you!

basically, if you do not receive any mail today, you are most probably accepted?
