I got the email that I’m a semi finalist, but I don’t see any of the other forms (top ten…). My email doesn’t have any links to it. do your emails have attached documents or something??

I got the email too! Many of the semifinalists in my area, including myself, found it in our spam folders, so be sure to look there everyone!

Will we be emailed either way, whether we’re semi-finalists or not?

Per coca-cola scholar web site, they will email to all applicants by December on the semifinalist decision.
If selected as semifinalist, you will also get a mail.

hey guys - check your spam folder. My email notification was in the spam folder

Did anyone receive notification after 7 pm EST?

Just got notification: Semifinalist in pittsburgh

Totally shocked - got my notification at 7:02 pm EST in the spam folder. For those wondering, the first part of the message is below. Hope you guys get your notifications soon!

Congratulations!

You have been selected as a Semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Because so few of the total number of applicants (nearly 100,000) for the Coca-Cola Scholars Program are advanced as Semifinalists, we consider this an outstanding achievement. As one of 2,000 Semifinalists, we hope that you see your selection as affirmation of your ability to distinguish yourself academically and personally.

Yay! Semi-Finalist! (from Los Angeles, California) Got my email in my spam folder at 4:01PM PST! Super excited!

Also, did anybody else notice the change in the way they are distributing the scholarships this year? Each finalist gets $20,000 initially instead of $10,000 and only 10 of the finalists receive the extra $10,000 instead of 50 of the finalists.

Good luck to all of you!

So no email at all means…nothing: (

If we didn’t receive an email yet, should we just assume that we did not get selected as semifinalists? lol

yanniboy - Congrats. Where can i find the scholarship amount information you mention . Thanks

Is there a website that may have been mentioned in the email that people can check their status at?

Sounds like the rest of us who didn’t get emailed yet are probably not semi-finalists… But congratulations to all of you who are!

After I saw some semifinalist’s posts, I asked her to check even spam mail folder but nothing. I thought my D has a strong case with perfect SAT and GPA along with reasonable ECs including varsity debate activity and international humanitarian trips. So, our expectation was at least in semifinalist. But it seems like there are many applicants better than my D. Congratulations again to all the semifinalists.

Sorry to hear if you haven’t seen any email yet. If you are anxious, please call 1-800-306-2653 between 9am and 5pm Eastern time. I looked through previous threads and some applicants called and they were told about their Semi-Finalists status. Good luck.

@yetanotherid The amounts were given in the initial email:

All Finalists selected as Coca-Cola Scholars must attend the Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend (April 3-6, 2014) at the Scholars Foundation’s expense to receive a Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship valued at $20,000. During the Scholars Weekend, Scholars will interview with our National Selection Committee, which will then designate ten (10) Legacy recipients who will receive an additional $10,000 award. :)

Thanks detpeace. In my excitement I didn’t go past the Next Steps portion of the email Thanks for pointing out the Notification Section in the email.

I guess not on this one :(
