@crazynewton Right, that’s exactly what I was trying to say-both. There have so far been no Stern “acceptances” on this thread. I actually applied pretty near the deadline, so I’m not surprised I will be hearing later. “Hear back” means notification, not specifically acceptance/rejection/waitlist etc

@CK-507, I just spoke with a Stern admissions officer. She said they are sending emails every Thursday and Friday with their decisions. I asked if applicants that applied early (ie feb) would hear back sooner than applicants that applied late (ie march) and her response was no. She said that it only depends on when the committee looks at your application, so most likely the comittee has not taken a look at our’s yet. My guess is that next Thursday or Friday, if we’re lucky, we’ll hear back. She also said if you are wait-listed then you will be notified.

Also, at NYU they do not reject applicants. They simply “deny” them. haha

I have been secretly stalking this thread for awhile. Actually, I applied to gallatin but got accepted into stern. :s

How does that work @nyu2014transfer

I dont know.

When I received my acceptance email, it shows that they are offering me admission to stern instead of gallatin. I have no idea. lol

@nyu2014transfer Could that be a mistake? Did you try asking them? If they really did offer you a Stern position without you specifically asking for it, you must be amazing!

@nyu2014transfer On the application, if you checked the box “I would like to be considered for other schools if not offered admission to my choice” or something like that, then they would consider you for a school that they see fit. From what I know, they basically thought you were a better fit for Stern than Gallatin.
Congrats!

NYU stern accepts like 25 transfers right?

I applied to NYU stern as a external transfer student, but still haven’t heard anything. The anxiety is killing me right now, hope I can hear some good news.

@mel325 hey, just saw your question, i’ve looked it up before and transfer students do get housing. I am not sure in which halls though. Also from what I understood on their website the FAFSA is all they want from transfer students so if you did that you should be fine.

good luck

when is CAS admission letters coming out…? :(

@transfersammy we can only HOPE for results this Tuesday or Thursday…

@Nyunyufall14 sigh, two fingers crossed for everyone!

I have my housing portal changed from “non-renewable undergrad” to “transfer undergrad” today. But there’s still no change on my fa page:( what does that mean?

@angelbeats hey mine is the same. I actually submitted my fall housing app before but i can no longer access to to my fall application any more. it just shows my fall housing application is being cancelled today? but my status changes from non renewable to transfer undgrad. I wonder if everyone has the same situation.

@sherrywang620 I have submitted the fall app too. But I don’t think a common situation. Which school are you applying?

Mine still says non renewable and no change for FA either…

@angelbeats i apply to gallatin. lol i can access to my summer housing app but not fall semester lol. anyway. we’ll see tomorrow. i think there is going be something coming out tomorrow

@sherrywang620 why you cannot access to your Fall app? I access to both of the applications. What happens when you click the fall app?
