I think I’m giving up on NYU, I will not go there even though I am accepted. I can’t risk my whole education on this. I have decided to go to McCombs instead :)

@natand I second that. NYU took too long to accept me, and therefor I have decided to study abroad for my Bachelors Degree at the American U of Paris Good luck everyone. I hope someone wait listed can take my spot.

Yes @hopefully what have you paid to American U of Paris? Are you already there actually? NYU couldn’t meet their deadline for decision, which disappoint me. Every schools should try to release the decision based on what’s posted on their website. If they think they can’t review the whole applications on time, they should make the application deadline earlier. The other 13 universities that I applied to had a deadline between January-March. NYU is the latest one. I hope they can make a change in the future so no one would have to go the same waiting as us.

Accepted to Steinhardt at 7:33 a.m. !!!

I didn’t get into Stern.

<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home;

wait… @mz1235 and all other wait list applicants who read that update… I’m confused at what that means. It sounds like he is saying transfer enrollment is at capacity but they might accept more? how can they accept more if they are at capacity??

@dwarnock95 I was confused by the post too. I think there is a separate wait list for freshmen and transfer students and they’ve accepted people off of the freshman wait list. It seems like it will be harder to get in for those who applied for financial aid like myself now.

@mz1235 Ok thanks! and ughhh yeah Im really nervous too haha. Hopefully it works out for both of us!

Accepted to Steinhardt! I honestly don’t know how I managed that with a 2.9 GPA when I applied to but I’ll take it! There’s probably some kind of lesson in there somewhere…

@mounteerie Congrats! Off of the wait list or directly?

@mz1235 directly!

How are you holding up guys? Has anyone gotten into or been waitlisted at NYU Poly?

Got my acceptance email 3 days ago at 2:40 am in the morning. I applied to Steinhardt as a Communicative Sciences and Disorders major.

I’m an international transfer student from a community college in Seattle. For anyone who might be interested to know, my stats is very low compares to everyone else on here, but I think I had a pretty good essay. My transfer GPA is 3.02. Yes! It is extremely low. So for anyone who’ve been waiting for their decisions, pls don’t lose hope! :)

Although I’m really happy to be admitted, I think I would choose University of Washington in Seattle over NYU since UW is the biggest research school in the US and all of their health science majors are a lot better than NYU.

Haven’t posted here in a while but it looks like I’ll be going to NYU SCPS next year!! Really excited, I’m just now wondering if anyone accepted here has heard anything about housing/if we were to get housing around when do you think we’d hear? (I KNOW how limited and slim the chances are, I just want to know when you’d think we’d hear if we do get housing)

I just declined my admissions offer to CAS math major because too little aid. Kept putting it off haha. Hopefully someone wait listed will be accepted :)

Ok I’m going to be an College Freshman this upcoming fall, my HS stats
GPA 3.4
ACT 25
SAT 1620
Extracurricular UIL (Texans would know), Student Council, Computer and Technology Guild
5 AP exams, waiting for answer on 3 (Calc, English Lit and Comp, and Bio) got a 5 on Spanish, and 3 on US Hist
I think I can transfer next year if I pick up my GPA to a 3.8-4.0, my ACT and SAT are low to what I can actually get. I was hungover in one and in the other one I hadn’t slept the whole night (gf) I could get a 30 on ACT and a 2100 on SAT. I could ask some of my high school teachers from recommendation letters, they are college professors as well since they teach on a nearby university.
Do you think I have a chance?

<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home; Doesn’t mention transfer students but it seems unlikely now.

It does mention transfer students tho

@magnarsnow I meant that “209 students have been admitted from our freshman wait list” didn’t give any clear indication of the acceptance of transfer students since it says that the students had been accepted off the freshman wait list.
