<p>Has anyone that got off the waitlist gotten their aid package yet?</p>
<p>@thisisthais Yep, got my financial aid package by email, still not the hard copy.</p>
<p>@jcbaltazar Okay, great! How many days did it take between you getting the acceptance e-mail and the aid package?</p>
<p>@thisisthais Like a day and a half. But I had to send them an email asking when it would be ready (and then two hours later they sent me the email).</p>
<p>Got a call today during AP Gov, and then called back after listening to the voicemail. Still feels unreal! She said she would send a formal acceptance email but it was close to closing time for the office so I didn’t get it today – can’t wait for the package to make it all feel more real. There’s still hope!</p>
<p>Bad news for internationals 
I just talked to one of the deans n they said that they are already over the limit so they said they are no longer accepting internationals off the waitlist</p>
<p>^Is that the limit with respect to international students, or regarding anyone on the waitlist?</p>

For everyone else they said they have offered about 50 people admission and they r now waiting for those 50 to reply
Also Harvard and Yale are going to their waitlist now so the dean said that more spots will probably open up
So wait for those phone calls…waitlist closes July 1 st</p>

<p>Bencarson2016, which dean did you speak to? I just got an email the other day saying I was still in the running, and I’m an international! This is scary… Hahaha</p>
<p>Eeesh. I emailed them too and they said they’re still accepting people off the waitlist and they will continue until mid summer. I have a feeling that they’re telling this to everybody though :/</p>
<p>I don’t think they’ll go around telling people publicly that they’ve closed the wait list off to internationals.</p>
<p>Why would you assume they would be lying to you? They are not going to string you along.</p>
<p>Exactly what I was thinking! I’d like to think that even if they already did close off the wait list to internationals, they’d tell us (or at least those who are in constant contact w/ the college) so that we could makes plans, etc.!</p>

<p>I guess you could say that. I’ve been in contact constantly with them every week a,d apparently, so has my guidance counselor.</p>

<p>so yeah i talked to a female dean and she said basically that they exceeded the number of international student spots so that i should just try to forget about Amherst
I was actually really hurt by this
it was good that she told me but it kinda sucked at the same time
but then i called couple days later and then they said that they are still offering admission to internationals… i am hella confused
hopefully we get good news…the second wave of waitlist offers are “supposed” to go out anytime this week
