IM SCREAMING I GOT IN GOD IS REAL OMG
Accepted in Massachusetts!!! Feeling over the moon right now and incredibly blessed. Congrats to all who got in and for those rejected, i’m sure you will all end up at amazing places dont worry:)
Received my letter in Chicago! I’ll be home in 15… According to my mother, it has a 70 cent postage stamp…
Well, I’m signing off this thread since I’m officially out but good job to those of you accepted 14th rejection so we’ll see if GWU is any nicer and can relieve this bad streak aha, and good luck to those of you still waiting!
accepted in va!!! so extremely happy and shocked!! i applied with a 1920 sat and no subject tests!! everything is possible!
hey guys! I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but when do you think internationals will find out their verdict
@bsalum I did - however, UVA is definitely not the right fit for me at all, and I’ve already declined my acceptance so as to free up a spot for someone else.
I think it would be stupid to not pursue the waitlist for your number one school. So what if it takes longer? My freshman year roommate got in off the waitlist two weeks before move in.
@SafeFromScience I think that each person should make the decision that is best for them
Waitlisted in florida! Happy with the outcome but I hate being in limbo. Berkeley it is!
If anyone believes that pursuing the waitlist (which in reality means sending a short note updating them on your semester and how much you want to go, and maybe, MAYBE, another rec) is too much trouble, then they aren’t ready for college or a future career, where you will indeed have to go through this.
Accepted in MA with 48.5 postage. Thanks for the heart attack!
Accepted!
Really thought they would reject me because I submitted my stuff so late without any legitimate reasons and even had to change the school later because I misread the requirements.
Thank you, Georgetown!
I am so happy for you almond milk. You’re right, anything is possible, but is it possible for the mail truck to arrive today in the Rockies?
@duggalb, Really? Got the letter in mail today, but waiting on S to get home but .48 stamp so was assuming the worst. Anyone else get accepted with a .48-cent stamp?
Accepted in Chicago! I’m crying right now. Good luck to those who are still waiting! To those who were rejected, I hope you end up at an equally amazing institution.
You don’t need to open the letter to tell, honestly. Acceptance has like three sheets of paper in it, so it’s comparatively thick.
@efinand My daughter was accepted in NY but thought it was a rejection because of the small envelope. So, there’s hope!
What’s this business with different types of stamps? I got a .70 one?
Accepted
($0.70 stamp, and the envelope is pretty thick)
“This year, Georgetown considered more than 20,000 candidates for 1,580 available spaces.” - 7.9% acceptance rate?!
