***Official 2020 Georgetown RD Applicant Thread

The acceptance rate was about 16%. They will end up with a class of 1580.

Rejected in Florida. Strangely okay with it-- kind of relieved. Best of luck to everyone else, I believe each and every one of you will find the perfect school!

@Felicita - That makes much more sense; the way they phrased it was a bit misleading. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi everyone! I’m a current senior in the college at Georgetown. Just wanted to congratulate everyone here! I remember this day 4 years ago :D. I drove to the post office and got my mail at 6:30 AM because I couldn’t stand the idea of waiting in school all day, lol. Cried in the middle of the post office when I opened it, haha. Anyways, congrats! You made it! Hoya Saxa!

I am SOOOO Confused! How many pages are in the Accepted envelope? Someone earlier said 4, but then I read 2. Can someone please advise? Is DENIAL only one page? Also, how many pages is WAITLISTED?

@northstarfx Waitlisted is two pages plus an envelope inside the envelope .

@northstarfx Acceptance letter has 4 pages plus an envelope inside.

Wait listed in Arizona. Congratulations to those who received good news!

ACCEPTED IN FLORIDA!!! I was deferred EA, but now accepted!! UW: 4.00, W: 5.54 SAT II: 2110 (CR: 660, M:800, W 650). Accepted to SFS, so excited to be a HOYA!!!

btw, anyone knows how to check which GT school you are accepted in? I changed my school from FLL to the College but I’m not entirely sure which one I’m admitted to.

@duggalb, @vanskelig - are all acceptances 4 pages? It doesn’t seem likely since some are reporting acceptances with only a $0.49c envelope (which only fits 2-3 pages max). Maybe there are a different number of pages depending on which program/major you applied to?

My acceptance was 4 pages including an envelope to send the honor pledge and deposit check back to GU, and the stamp on my envelope was also $0.70.

Has anyone from Arcadia gotten the letter yet?

@northstarfx I receive 4 separate sheets of papers + 1 envelope with $0.70 stamp:

  1. Acceptance letter
  2. University NetID info
  3. Enrollment Agreement Form and Honour Pledge
  4. Generic Financial info (not official financial aid awards)

It doesn’t include anything related to my programme of study. No flyers etc.

ACCEPTED TO SFS FROM OKLAHOMA.
no subject tests or SAT, ACT 32, GPA:3.93 unweighted (college prep school) + salutatorian
all AP classes
im unworthy.

70c postage, btw!! i had my mom read the letter im not home but will post more deets when I get there

My letter has probably been in my mailbox for hours but my schools yearbook is due today so I’ve had to stay at school to finish it. I’m just waiting to get to go home and find out!

D was deferred, then rejected, but got in to STanford last week, and Notre Dame the week before ( also in @ Berkeley, UCLA, USC) – college admissions are truly very unpredictable. congrats to all the admits-- D will be going to Stanford!

Has anyone not received their letters yet?

Really! I don’t know if some people with .70 stamps have FA pages making the envelope bigger. But, we were thrilled after circling the drain for an hour, waiting for D to get home. Wishing you the best!
