Official ACT December 2012 Thread.

All I really need is a 30+ I just want to get in that range then I will be perfectly happy! :D

If I get a 30 or higher, I will be happy but if I don’t, it’s whatever. It’s not like this test is too important especially when it comes to getting into a good school.

But it is nice to say you hot a 33+ :)

On my last act I got 34E 35M 35R and 29(!!)S… And 10 essay…

If I can get my science score to a 30, I’ll have a 34. If I get it to a 34 somehow, I’ll have a 35 superscored. I’m so nervous

Got 33 one sitting, 35 superscore. Need 34+ one sitting tomorrow, but haven’t prepped at all. Screwed.

I just got a 36 on the English and Math sections on the “Real ACT” practice tests.

The time on the science section really gets me though.

Nexus, haven’t prepped at all either. I’m just hoping that somehow my science skills show up

Anybody know if you can use a led pencil if it is #2

If by “led” you mean mechanical, no. You absolutely have to use a traditional No.2 pencil.

I hope that i get a 34+…soo badly

Anything above a 29 would be awesome for me.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using CC

Gosh that essay was hard

u know the essay question ???

Took the test on an international test center (in Europe)
I suppose the questions are all the same (they are for sure in the SAT)
Well, one way to know for sure : if your essay booklet has 15K as form number, then we had the same question

Can you tell me the essay question ?

I won’t, i don’t want to advantage anyone, sorry

  • if it’s not the same for you, you will be disappointed
But it should be easier for you since you’re a native speaker (i’m not native speaker nor am I bilingual, and I started my essay section really badly by planning my essay for 20 mins, but you can avoid this)
I realize that most questions i’ve lost time on would be easy for native speakers ( the definition of “anthropomorphism” for example could be deduced from the sentence “Descartes’ aversion for anthropomorphism”, but i didn’t know the definition of aversion neither)
I found the math section really easy though.

Form 70R (Europe):
Science was sooo easy today. Only thundercloud passage was difficult (questions 30 and 34 may take away my perfect score in science…)

don’t ask about answers right now… Lets be fair, some didn’t even started testing today yet…

agree with ivydreamerr
the thundercloud is very confusing. All the others are easy or take a bit of time.
English is a bit harder than I expected. I also didn’t have enough time to finish the reading section. Math is a 36. lol

Hope for a 34. Realistically 33.

Yeah these questions about thunderclouds were really annoying… A bit harder that I expected… But Math was soooo easy
Where in Europe did you pass your test ?

Pakistani here!!! Math was damn so easy and as you guys said Science was also very easy except that thundercloud questions. Reading section was a nightmare for me as i didn’t even attempt last passage. Completely lost track on that Greek theories passage and that anthropomorphism one. Writing well good for me. :D
