@Falconsroach7 I interpreted it as being open to change, as you should let a language develop and change on its own. I think I just misunderstood what you said sorry.
yall need to chill omg
This site is full of try hards who are ivy league obsessed
I just came on here to tell you guys that honestly…
Do the cutoffs change annually?
@averagewhiteguy that’s not true. And if some people are “Ivy League try hards” then let them be. Why do you even care?
Lol I’m a senior. I don’t know why I care so much about a 5 because my college accepts a 4 for the same credit.
yes it does @CognitioInvictus
Yes.
Idk why I want a 5 so bad. Im a sophomore it doesn’t even matter what i get. I just really really liked this class, no matter how much hw we got, or how much stress it was. I want to know that after all the hard work and the struggle, it was worth it because I can show that I learned excellently.
I think I got about 70/80 on the MC…I counted ten or eleven I was “unsure” about, and I probably got a couple of them right, but I’ll say 70/80. For the DBQ, I’m predicting an eight (I used every document except one, and used POV for every doc I used, plus brought in a bit of historical context). My FRQ were okay, but I think they’ll be enough to get me a five. My DBQ was about five pages and each FRQ was about three.
@evan241 that would def put you in 5 territory. How were your frqs 3 pages long, i struggled to get 2 pages for each. My dbq was 3 pages long. You’ve got me worried now man.
@Waldoizhere I don’t really “plan” on FRQs, I just start an idea in a paragraph and leave space to write my introduction/thesis at the end once I develop every reasonable argument that comes to mind. That’s how they get long, haha - I end up planning as I write.
That makes me feel marginally better. I still dont know why my dbq was so short though. Its worrying me. Im also worried that the collegeboard can’t read my handwriting, its pretty messy. What happens if they can’t understand your handwriting? Do they toss your essay?
Anyone just feel wasted afterwards. I tried to remember multiple choice questions that I could look up when I got home to see if I got them right, and could only remember like 3 or 4 mc questions. That test is a complete mental drain.
My DBQ was about 4 pages and my FRQs were both about 3.5
I’m pretty confident with both of my FRQs, but my DBQ was by far worse than anything I have ever written in my class… I was really freaking out when I was trying to group them.
Does anyone know the answer to my question? What if they can’t read your essay?
I’m sure you’re fine. Your handwriting would have to be really, really terrible for them to throw it out. Nobody has good handwriting on such a rushed test, haha, I’m sure you’re fine
If they literally can’t read your essay AT ALL, then yeah you would get a zero…
But my teacher always explains to us that the readers really do want you to succeed and try their best to understand what you put down. Although they won’t infer things, I highly doubt they would give up on your essay.
@Waldoizhere my teacher grades on the college board. He brought this up before the test. He said that you wanna try to have nice handwriting just to make your graders job a little easier, but they’re not just gonna throw it out. He said a standard grader would pass it up to a higher up on the college board hierarchy, but if it’s literally illegible then they can’t grade it. Honestly, messy handwriting won’t matter as long as it’s not in hieroglyphic. I’m sure your handwriting was fine!
