@DaneBrick You made a good decision by not taking the exam it would be quite difficult for a self-studier as people have mentioned. However, the gov exam was very easy.

I just don’t understand. The released 2001 and 2006 tests were pretty easy. Why. Why would they do this to us. Why 2014.

the frqs were a lot easier this year though
what do you think the curve is going to look like?

That was such a brutal test and apparently its the easiest AP of all… I studied off the barrons book and it didn’t help at all. Hoping I get at least a 2 so my teacher doesn’t think I’m an idiot lol

I think we can all agree, that all the prep books had no correlation. There were just so many random questions. PR was far from accurate, especially on MCs. Barron’s wasn’t any better.

Break of Bulk should be Singapore I think

Three of us self studied this expecting an easy 5. NOPE. Only one of us is going to get a five because he studied so much while I was studying for Gov.

I’d be extremely happy to get a 4 now but I’m afraid I bombed the FRQ’s to the point where they couldn’t carry the sheer weight of all the multiple choice I completely failed.

Take that one back, now I’m not sure, I thought Moscow was landlocked, but is it?

So basically a 4/5 on gov and a $76 refund was worth it. Honestly I just didn’t have enough time to do last minute cramming or any practice tests for this. And it seems as if even if I did study with barron’s I would have done poorly. Psych was such a better self study, especially if you used barron’s. I hope everyone here did well though and maybe the curve will be lenient for you guys.

I mean, it does’t have any ports/harbors right?

This may sound like a stupid question but what is a curve?

so whether you a 3 or 4 or 5 isn’t based on what you individually get. College board wants to have an even percentage of people who each each score i think

so like you could miss 30 last year on mc and get a 4 but this year you could miss 30 on mc and get a 5 because the test was harder so others probably did badly as well

Multiple choice was very interesting, looking back over it now I don’t think I missed that many. FRQs were tough but doable.

@futureuclabruin No worries. A curve is points added to your raw score at the end of grading to offset test factors. These factors include difficulty. Meaning, if the test is really hard one year then they add some points to make sure everyone does not fail. This is used to keep consistent pass rates. However, when the test is easy there is a easy test there is a lower curve. We should expect a medium curve on this test.

Oh okay, thank you!

The FRQs were way easier than I thought but the multiple choice was way harder than I thought it’d be. And are we allowed to be talking about this?

@RishabC297 I thought singapore was the break of bulk point and I thought they were making chickens in Arkansas and Afrikaans comes from Dutch. I knew that when I took the test but I don’t even know where I learned that from. Not from the test prep guides that’s for sure.
I used Kaplan and I think it was pretty swell.

here’s the newest version of the google doc

@dsi411 My proctor heard us talking and didn’t say anything so I think it should be fine

@dsi411 Well, TECHNICALLY, no, it’s not allowed but. We are all desperate and there is no harm unless there are those who still didn’t take the test. We’re only discussing it among those who took it already.

Also, apparently I’m the only one who said Afrikaan came from Swahili, why oh why did I pick that X_X

I honestly don’t think that study was all that beneficial for that test. They just put a lot of random crap together. I only need a three. Good luck to those who’ve said they need fives!
