*****Official Boston College EA Class of 2018 Thread****

I am guessing there were no deferral emails sent this morning.

Still have nothing. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. Has anything gotten anything at all?

Who wants to call the admissions office  I can’t because I’m in school.

I’m a school too and on the west coast… They’ll be closed by the time I call

Guys
Just want to give you guys an update. My school counsellor just talked with BC Admission, and they are STILL making decisions. No emails will be sent today.
All decisions will be MAILED next Monday. Large and small envelopes will be mailed.
The Bug on agora portal has been fixed. So don’t read into anything.
I hope this can brighten up and clarify things for you guys waiting anxiously

Thanks
Ben

Thanks Bend95!

If they are still reading applications and making decisions it would indicate a large group of highly qualified applicants. If they aren’t mailing until next Monday the earliest we should know is likely Wednesday the 18th :(

I just called and asked when we could expect a decision. They told me the 16th.

Uh, the wait is so nerve-wracking

I completely agree.

So deferrals will be mailed this year? THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME

i guess they are changing things up

I wouldn’t be quick to assume that just because their still reading that means there was a highly qualified group of applicants. Because of problems with the common app, BC was still accepting EA applications until like the 5th so that could be the reason for the delay as well.

Knowing other people are as freaked out as I am is so therapeutic, LOL. I literally cannot focus on anything else!

Promise this is the last of my ubiquitous posting- mid November I received an email from a student volunteer who was part of the Student Admissions Program at BC. She just talked about her experiences at BC and asked if I had any questions. A boy who applied to BC at my school did not receive a student email so I was wondering if anyone else did? Does it have significance?

i received two emails from current students and a call from an alumn. hope it bears some significance

I can’t imagine that it doesn’t. Especially on your end with the call from an alum, I mean logically speaking they wouldn’t do that without good reason.

My friend and I both received emails from a current student offering information on clubs at the school. We’re praying that it bears some significance. Were there some applicants who were left out of that email list?

-Cornell18, If you did a campus visit or a tour at the end of the tour you could have asked for a card to put your information down on so they could have a student contact you if you had any questions or just wanted to know more about the school. I did that and had a student email me but since I knew everything I didn’t dive deeper into it. As for SwatBoy getting a call from an alumn could be a good thing, maybe seeing if you deserve to receive a presidential scholarship…? All I want to know is if im in or not.

Hooniebangoo, my friend did not receive an email so yes I think some were left off. And Jersey, I never did an official tour and BC doesn’t associate tours with admissions and this email was from Student Admissions. But I definitely agree I just wanna know what the decision urgh
