Accepted students: you don’t have to, but you could post a screenshot of the email.

William and Mary pulled the same ****. Sent emails to most of the students who were accepted and left everyone else hanging. I feel way more jerked around this time than the first time i applied to college…

I admit that the way they are releasing this is very weird…however, I am real as well. I was a CAS sophomore applicant. I was sent the email at 12:16PM today. My portal changed last week and I got the pay enrollment fee tab…and paid that on Saturday. Afterward, I got 2 new tabs: My Reslife and orientation confirmation. I did not check my portal yesterday so I can’t speak to whether or not those tabs disappeared yesterday. However, today, after receiving the email, I now have probably over 30 tabs.
I wish you all the best and I would definitely still have hope for an acceptance!!

“most” of the students? Not everyone who was accepted got an email?

some students said that they never received an email but eventually got accepted… i am not sure

Well, this certainly looks authentic! Unfortunately, the letter states that on 90 students were admitted as transfers — let’s see if we can do the math on how many from CC alone have received the e-mails. Maybe there’s still a glimmer of hope for the rest of us!!

Looks like 4 so far? That means there’s still 86 spots available!!!

6% ACCEPTANCE RATE for transfers…wowwww. My boyfriend goes there and he warned me a while back that they overbooked his class (2013), so no one can feel too bad. They don’t have enough housing for the people that already go there. Plus only one year of housing is kind of annoying for a school that’s in the suburbs. Congrats to all who got in!!

For your own privacy, see if the mods will remove your letter (since it includes your mailing address.)

The letter doesn’t say that they only accepted 90 students. It says that they are expecting 90 transfer students to join them this fall. So that means they probably accepted more than 90, expecting that some kids will turn them down and go elsewhere.

Good News: Accepted!

Bad News: All of my classes at Northeastern transferred as electives, so I’ll have to take the intro levels all over again, my Psychology course is nowhere to be found on the audit, I’d be graduating in December of 2013, and I still can’t see my financial aid stuff!

I got into BC, but I might not be able to go because I’m too poor! YYYAAAAAYYYYY

i assure you i’m real. the acceptance email (from transadm@bc.edu) is as follows:

Dear *,

You have been patiently awaiting news regarding your transfer application to
Boston College. This email brings good news. Congratulations, you have
been admitted to Boston College. Attached are many important documents
pertaining to your admission. Be sure to open all the documents and review
them thoroughly.

If you have questions, please do not reply to this email, instead we can be
reached at: transfer@bc.edu or 800-360-2522.

Thank you,

Office of Transfer Admission

“From the 1,500 applicants you have been chosen as one of the 90 students…” Trust me. It was really hard this year. Jam packed at that school.

Sorry about the misunderstanding.

But for all who got an email. Did you guys have tabs before (to the ones who haven’t yet answered)?

Boston College does not notify via email. You will receive through old fashioned snail mail which will arrive in either a large envelope (Yea!) or a regular letter size envelope (Boo).

Anyone stating that they were notified through email is fibbing. I have one child finishing her junior year now and one that has applied to transfer.

3rd rejection so far, not what I needed during finals week!

^ you got an email too?

^ may i ask what time you got that at? sorry. i’m guessing no more emails are coming out today.

i’m actually not “fibbing,” i was accepted via email at 2:32PM today.

i have better things to do than lie on transfer threads…

Congratulations somedudehere and sweetesthing – you both must be thrilled!! Hoping there are more e-mails/letters tomorrow!!
