I suppose it’s a good thing they took our credentials down - must be getting in gear to start posting decisions in the next couple of weeks. Out of curiosity, does anybody know the proportion of F.A. candidates vs. Non-F.A. candidates?

Wish you all the best of luck.

since brown is need-aware, does that mean they prefer higher income students?

yes. if it comes down to you and someone with similar stats needing less financial aid, they will pick the other candidate.

rejected, by phone

This one really hurts. I actually really wanted to attend Brown.

Wait, are decision being handed out by Brown for transfers already??? (due to Ehe101’s post, of which I am so sorry to hear). Do you think that they’re calling every student for acceptance, rejection, and wait list?

I’m guessing Ehe called because he needed their answer since other schools required him to respond. They’ll let you know in that situation. I don’t think regular decisions have been released yet.

Sucks Ehe. I’m expecting the same decision.

im so sorry to hear that Ehe i’m sure you still have a few really good options…

I wonder if decisions will be online this year. I saw that they weren’t last year, but applications also weren’t online last year.

Did anyone else get moved to the Spring 2010 semester?
When I called, they said that this happens sometimes when they don’t have enough space.
They also said decisions come out next week.

How would you know if you got moved to the Spring 2010 semester if they haven’t released decisions yet?

Yeah, I second that. If they moved you to the Spring semester wouldn’t that mean they accepted you?

I hope they are available online. That would be much more convenient.

When I checked my application status online, it said that I had applied for the Spring 2010 semester when I had actually applied for the Fall 2009 semester.

Hmm, well that sounds like it could be a good sign. Mine still says fall

my application term still says fall 2009

Mine still says Fall 2009 as well…

Fall 2009 here as well…

Mine still says Fall 2009 too. I can’t think of any logical reason for them to move accepted people to a different semester…

We were asked during the application process to check whether or not we would be willing to enroll in a different semester if we were accepted.

Is this indicative of acceptances? Even so, it doesn’t mean that people with Fall 2009 didn’t make the cut, for they could be enrolling in the fall. It does seem a little odd that they would change the season of enrollment before decisions have come out, because that seems to hint at an admit more so than a Fall 2009.
