@organicplastic…

Ya I am an international student. So if they did in fact send the mail to my home address instead of my school address (I listed as #1 mail address), then that would make sense. However, my parents have not notified me of recieving any packages or mail at home on my behalf. I think they probably would if they were to recieve anything from Brown?

I got the feeling that those who haven’t received anything yet are rejected…

I know people who were accepted(international) got their mails via Fedex, and they arrived quick. The remaining unfavoured poor souls will have to wait for the thin envelope to be delivered by postal service.

sweet…its good to know that im screwed

^ like who ? from outside usa students ? like in another uni in another country ?

@ blondie i’m an international too, but not within USA … you ? i havent gotten any letter

@carotene…

Im from Canada, but I currently go to school in the US…if I dont get anything in my mailbox this afternoon I’m just going to call admissions. Since it looks like I haven’t gotten in anyways, I might as well just man up and get rejected over the phone lol.

any update regarding to the waiting list?

no updates. still waiting with my fingers crossed!

I wouldn’t be worried about not having heard about the wait list yet, the guy on the phone said they plan to be figured out about fall/spring switches around June 1st (and wait list would probably come after that I’d guess, but I’m not sure). I’d say wait until the 1st and after that start worrying =P

Good luck to those of you waiting!

Do you guys think Brown has a huge waiting list as it did to freshman?

if i’m an international transfer app from asia and i haven’t heard from Brown yet, no mail in the letterbox, and am too scared to call, does it mean i’m probably rejected ? or are there letters on waitlist ?

you might want to call up and they won’t bite you.

Is there a facebook group for accepted transfers??

Moderator Note: If you have a FB link, ask people to PM you to find out what it is. FB links are not allowed on the public forums.

Thanks!

*Is there a facebook group for accepted transfers?? If so, PM(personal message?) me to tell me the link…

I got a big packet of forms and things from Brown today =) (I live in NY)

I’m accepted as a Spring but would really really prefer Fall (I’m a winter sport athlete and season starts in Nov) - did any Springs who checked the box get like a note or something with their packet that they had been switched? Also, some of my envelopes in the packet have only the Fall deadline on them, as opposed to both - is this the same for everybody? Did any Spring transfers who didn’t check the box get envelopes with only the Fall deadline? Envelopes in question are the yellow Parent Program one and the white Cashier’s Office one.

congrats thats awesome!! were you on the waitlist, or had you just not received your letter earlier?

Thanks! I was accepted earlier, I guess I was a little vague about that haha

This is a new packet! It’s got forms and a big book of “Transfer Guide to Brown” which, of course, will now probably be my new bedtime reading.

Congrats! Did you get the acceptance letter before getting the packet?
