i think someone said they were gonna call the admissions office in the morning so hopefully we’ll get a better answer then

Yeah I’ll call after physics (so like noon EST) and then post what I get. I remember decisions the first time were in the afternoon perhaps around 4? So I would guess the afternoon

@mmb294 I guess so. Last year someone also said it would be Monday, but it turned out to be Tuesday. So my guess is maybe we will hear back Tuesday?
I’ll try to call them tmr right after they start working at 9 AM.

Are you guys anxious? I am so anxious for tommorow!

I’ll let hope handle it then. I used to be nervous, counted the days down since I hit send, but now I think I’m just bracing for impact. I want it to be less of a big deal, I can always psych myself up again if I get accepted and be blissful and super excited.

I’ve been following this thread obsessively for the past couple weeks and decided I might as well post. Has anyone called yet?

The wait is killing me. It also doesn’t help that I work right near Brown, so driving by this morning was incredibly nerve racking.

I called and the guy was very tight lipped. Same information as last time: check your email constantly and sometime between now and Friday it’ll say they are available.

^almost the same answer here, but he said it might be this week, might be next week…
Seems that it really wouldn’t be today… Sigh, I have four finals today through Wednesday…

thanks for the updates! Date continues to be shrouded in mystery… One theory is that financial aid and transfer counselors are busy assigning CU’s and they don’t want a hard deadline

Just called. They said they’re still getting through the last few and will try to get decisions out by the end of the week. If not, definitely early next week.

OMG why are they doing this to us!?
I pulled an all nighter studying for one the most dreadful finals of my life, while completely distracted and consumed by Brown’s decisions!
I need to start doing yoga!!!.. seriously, it helps a lot with stress and anxieties!

It was pretty clear that there wasn’t a firm date when they changed the expected notification date from “early next week” to “before mid-May”

Nice to know they have a few they are still getting through. I kind of assumed they knew the results but were waiting for some legal reason/fortehlulz

It’s really nerve-wracking to think that our fates haven’t been determined yet…they’re still hanging in the balance, awaiting the grace of Brown’s admissions board. My stomach feels like it’s in knots.

That’s a little dramatic…

You don’t think these decisions are important enough to warrant a little drama? :P

@sakari that’s kind of how I feel. Although I think they’ve pretty much gone through most of them at this point

I’m picturing a movie sort of like “12 Angry Men”, only with 12 officers debating the merits of an applicant.

Just formally withdrew my indication for FA. After some deliberation, I contacted someone from the FA office who said it was definitely not too late to withdraw, and based off other FA packages I have received, the fact that Brown is most economically feasible for me due to my work circumstances (and being the only school I applied to in-state), and a significant raise for one of my parents, it made the most sense. At this point, it can only aid my chances.

Also, my friend just received a decision through the RUE program. Decisions were sent out on Friday by mail, so if anyone applied through RUE, check your mail! Although, do note that we live in Rhode Island.

Best of luck to everyone.

I’ve actually started anonymous donations that allow full ride for prospective transfers at their current institutions as bait. Much more legal than my friend’s kidnapping ring!
