@CranberryOrgange
I just found that in some previous posts you said you transferred from Pomona to brown last year and you did post your acceptance decision in the 2012 transfer thread…
So my question is, are you trolling? I believe that if you are already in Brown you could not transfer from Brown to Brown right?

Hello, guys, I am also an applicant. I got an e-mail from Brown that the admission pool was incredibly competitive. When I first got that message, my heart feels like falling down.

@Sophisto/others

Sorry about that. Yeah, I already transferred to Brown last fall. I was posting for a friend and should have said that in my post, sorry! But I still appreciate the advice and wish you all luck! Hopefully I’ll see some of you on campus next year.

That would be nice, Cranberry. Brown is one of my top choices.

Threeee daaaays! Emotional day today. My boyfriend went back to New Zealand and I won’t see him for another couple of years. I don’t think I’m mentally prepared for the decisions to come out.

I’m pretty sure we’re not going to hear on Monday. I guess by the end of the week, though.

@2013transfer why do you think that?

How can we predict our admission status by using any tricks?

They changed the announcement on the portal from saying “early next week” to “before mid may”

I just feel like if the admissions officer told someone a while ago that they were releasing decisions on the 6th and they said before mid-May then there’s a good chance it could still be on Monday

Hey guys! Wanted to join the party. I had assumed it would be May 15th like last year, so now that you guys are saying its the 6th I am totally unnerved! I want this so badly, but then so does everyone.

God please let me into Brown…

@Mistasuggs Everybody wants to get into Brown.

Finished up my finals, now packing up. I get this exhilarated feeling when I think that this might be the last time I have to set foot on my campus. And then it flies away when I think about the crushing possibility of rejection. It’s my philosophy that if you get through college admissions without having at least one existential crisis, you’re probably doing it wrong.

My college preference: Caltech> Harvard > Brown > JHU > Northwestern > UC berkeley

Did you actually write that 7 hour CalTech entrance exam, Semifinal?

I would really love to be admitted to Brown! I’m packing now too, but there are some very mixed feelings about leaving. I have a lot of good things going for me here, but I am very interested in transferring and starting new and fresh somewhere I think will fit me and my education style better. In order of my preferences it would probably go: Brown > Wesleyan = NYU Galatin > Swarthmore > Johns Hopkins

@orion222 Why is that 7 hours at once? 4hours at one day, 3 hours for one day. They are not necessarily taken at one time. They ask very simple and fundamental problem for acknowlegdement of credits. I asked about that exam and it is a very small portion of admission decision process.

I didn’t know that it was easy. When I read about it, I immediately cancelled my CalTech application. Studying for and writing a 7 hour exam for a 1% chance of getting accepted seemed a little ludicrous to me.
