<p>Anyone here taking AP stats or have taken it?</p>
<p>Took it last year. One of my more enjoyable classes thanks to a really chill teacher, and the absolute joke of an AP exam Collegeboard gave us haha.</p>
<p>Man that’s nice at my school they made it really hard than it should seem. I get A’s on most of the test with couple B’s but wwhen they first teach it I dont understand a word they teaching me so I literally self study for that class.</p>

<p>Really believe stats is not equivalent level to AB calculus but they teach it to make it seem there equals.</p>

<p>I’m taking Stats right now, along with mutivariable calc… I feel like Stats is absolutely nothing compared to calc or any other “real” math. It’s just too painfully simple, and the class moves way too slowly…</p>
<p>Exactly and my master at Harrison told the class its equivalent level as AB calc. Tbh I feel some schools or people who teach it just make it harder than it should seem or either I am a Moron. No I do not sleep in that class but after one sentence of instructions I’m already lost.</p>
<p>Yeah Stats at my school almost seemed like 35% an “English” class, vs. 65% actual math.</p>
<p>Just putting it out there Harrison is not a bad school I do not want to hinder its “reputation” that the school cares tremendously about but there definitely needs to be some changes and the teachers can also enforce harder punishments on those who act like clowns at school rather than telling tthem to be quiet for all hour.</p>
<p>I think the way some students behave really makes the teachers teach subjects without passion and like they hate their jobs. Who knows but I sure can’t wait to get out of that school.</p>
<p>Stats in my school is like 10x easier than my calc BC class. I honestly just read the book the night before the stats test and do fine.</p>

<p>I’m not sure of the name and I’m too lazy to check, but it’s yellow.</p>
<p>We use “The Practice of Statistics” by WH Freeman</p>
<p>I’m in ap stats at my school and while it’s easy, it’s taught horribly. Our teacher contradicts the book constantly because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’ve learned to just ignore him when he’s teaching and it has worked out fairly well for me. The chapters I taught myself I got 100% and 97% on the tests. He’s a horribly strict grader too. There’s only maybe 6-8 people with A’s out of about 40 students.</p>

<p>I am kind of nervous. My gpa is 3.7 UW but i took 12 APs. SAT 2220, reading 650, math 770, writing 800. SAT physics 800, Math ii 800, ap physics 5, AB calc 5, BC calc 5, EUro history 4, chemistry 5, art history 5.</p>
