I didn’t know any of this about the Engineering school. I looked all around, but I didn’t know the average scores were so much higher than the University average.

It actually is though.

anyone else on here applying to the school of kinesiology?

&Ketchup34… I am

wooo we’re all hopeful wolverines unite don’t fight dear goslings

I want to apply to kinesiology if I get deferred or rejected from UM–do any of you know if that’s possible? I know it was last year to apply to 2+ schools but this year seems less likely (last year my friend got deferred from CoE and into LSA), especially because commonapp isn’t allowing it.

The hostility on this thread is pretty cool. Y’all know if you don’t get into Michigan, there are like a billion other really good schools you guys will get into?

Wow, it seems like we’re going to have more posts than last year’s Michigan thread. :)

No, we shall beat the class of 2017! :)

Does anyone know the college specific accepted averages (GPA, SAT/ACT) for LSA last year?

The 20th is my birthday; that would suck if I got deferred lol

Go onto parchment to compare scatter plots of stats at different schools

Still not sure whether or not I should apply to LSA or Engineering for computer science (I’m applying RD)

With lsa you have a better chance of getting in

Hi everyone.

My school does not use Parchment so I just made an account. How accurate is this website?
And I’m wondering if anyone is willing to share their “acceptance chances percentage”?
Thanks

Anyone have stats for pharmacy preferred admission?

@ivorypheonix It takes the average of the whole university as opposed to your specific school. If the college you’re applying to isn’t “special” in terms of its admissions, it should be fairly accurate. The main issue is in the sample sizes, which vary between universities.

Some numbers are surprisingly high whereas others are pretty low. But the one I’m mainly interested in is UMich. Btw, thanks pillagerguy.

I wouldn’t trust parchment that much. Like somebody already said, it doesn’t account for the different standards of admission for different programs within the same school. For example, my percentage for Carnegie Mellon is 77%, and I’m applying to the school of computer science, which has an acceptance rate of 6% and is just as selective as MIT or Stanford. Obviously, Parchment is way off there. Plus, admissions to the top colleges are just too subjective, and cannot be accurately estimated based on numbers alone.

Okay. Thank you for the heads up.

Stats specific to LSA:
