I’m worried because I only received an email confirming my application, not one telling me that i qualified for early action. However on wolverine access, my application shows up as early action-qualified. Does this mean I missed the deadline somehow even though I submitted by application October 18th?

@cabooser why would they close admissions though to send out an email? I’m jw!

No idea but anything out of the ordinary draws our suspicions!

@cabooser true! I’ll take it. Anything to raise up my hopes

@ivanov2014 nope thats it i wanted to stay relatively close to home and my stats are not amzing , gl with your other schools tho

Check your app status on wolverine access if you want to make sure you’re EA

Hi I’m new to this but how do you check you’re EA on wolverine access? I got the email saying I qualifies so I’m sure I’m fine but I’m jw

Qualified*

Never mind I found it!

Go to wolverine access: Students>New and perspective student business>Application Status>View Application Data>Under “Other information” and “Notification Plan Status” it should say “early action-qualified”

One you log in, go to Application Status, then View Application Data. In the “Other Information” box, it should say “Notification Plan Status: Early Action - Qualified”
Nvm, I’m too slow…

This question is kinda early, but whatever-- how do deferred students get selected for the Summer Bridges program? Do you have to let them know yourself or is it a random offer? I’m just asking because I’m not feeling too good about being accepted at least in the EA stage and would probably take advantage of a summer program like that if it guaranteed my acceptance. If anyone knows anything at all about this then an answer would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks! Websites aren’t always my strong suit

1) U of M DOES recalculate all G.P.A.s

2) Admissions decision for EA will be out by December 24 (however, when I talked to my admissions representative, she said they would be released ON Dec 24

3) EVERYONE needs to stop freaking out. In my mind and heart, no matter how nervous/excited I am for the decision, I will just be more depressed when I find out the decision. And I am willing to bet $100 that I am either deferred/denied.

Everyone, NOTHING is within your control right now…except to keep up your school grades in case you get deferred. It’s all good.

what is the summer bridges program all about?

Miw140, Summer Bridges is a mandatory program for select individuals who were not initially accepted. You take classes at UMich in the summer before you enroll. I know a few people who went through this program and it is usually for students from underrepresented backgrounds or schools with little resources and it is to ensure that they have what it takes to be successful at UMich.

carnold96, Michigan’s “Comprehensive Studies” department hosts different programs, including Summer Bridges, which is mandatory. Comprehensive Studies allows students to start in the summer or fall, and makes sure that students get the extra support they need. i’m not sure if anyone can be admitted, but you should ask!

Hey everyone!

I have read through a few of these posts recently because my daughter is DYING to go to UM, and have a bit of insight on the admission release date…

My sources from UM say that admission decisions should be released tomorrow around 2 pm (if all goes accordingly). Although statistics and trends show that they should have been released this past Friday, the admissions office supposedly wanted the weekend to finish up with their decisions.

I am believing this because I do in fact trust my source, and find this to be rather believable, but take my facts as you’d like. I know that my daughter and I will for sure be by the computer at 2, anxiously awaiting her decision!

Wishing the best of luck to all applicants!

Hope you aren’t trolling us CookingMama68… nice name… -

The Summer Bridge program is aimed at exceptional admitted students who come from unusual and often times non-ideal socio-economic conditions as well as those who come from questionable quality school districts. It’s meant to make the transition much easier for those students.

You only have to participate in Summer Bridge if Michigan specifically tells you that you must.
