Quick Question. I am considering dropping my AP Physics class to regular physics because we simply don’t learn anything in class and students in regular physics seems to know more than us.
Will dropping an AP class affect my chance of getting in?

I applied in Nov, early decision. I got my acceptance letter in December for RCAH.

Just got accepted today! Only took 15 weeks to receive my decision…haha!

My son was accepted Friday (almost 14 weeks). Pre-Business, in state.

Applied 10/17
Accepted 1/20
3.78 weighted GPA
3.83 unweighted GPA
1100 SAT
1 AP class

My friend just got accepted after almost 15 weeks. She has a 3.6 gpa and 1110 sat score.

My son accepted into business program! Have not visited yet (from NY) but it’s in the running…any input would be appreciated!

Just got accepted! I was wondering for those who have been recently or in past months, when does scholarship information come out to someone that had been admitted?

@JP0204 I think it usually comes along with your acceptance letter. Both of my friends who got accepted to msu received their scholarship letter at the same time they received their acceptance letters.

@JP0204 my D received her scholarship information about 12 weeks after her acceptance. She was accepted back in October. Not sure if it will take as long for those of you just getting accepted. We also just about two weeks ago received her Financial Aid Package information showing the scholarship, work study program, etc. for our total OOS expense. It’s about $12k more a year than our instate school that she was also accepted to.

Does any one know when I will be notified about scholarship except the ones that came with admission offer. I was accepted on 12/23/2016 for computer science as an international student

Thanks

@harshwardhan2554 If you have already received your scholarship letter, then most probably all the aid that they are going to offer you is on there and there are very less chances that you will be awarded anything more; except maybe if you made it into Honors college and the Honors College decides to award you with some scholarships. Otherwise don’t expect anything more coming from them in form of aid if they have already given you their decision on scholarships. However, if you wish, you can contact the scholarships office and ask them about this.

@k_03 Actually last year a senior of mine did same and he also had these decisions but after a month around at feb end he had more scholarship nearly full tuition. Also, the e-message was from office of admission and not scholarship.
Thanks, I will contact them regarding this.

accepted Tuesday 1/31. Pre-Business, OOS.

Applied 1/23
Accepted 1/31
EC: 3 years varsity letter in cheer, DECA Officer, 400 hours of volunteering

unweighted GPA: 3.45
SAT: 1050 SAT
AP classes: 1

Has anyone yet been invited to the Honors Program at MSU? If so, could you please share your stats?

@harshwardhan2554 And did you contact the office? What did they say? It is possible that your senior might have received the tution waiver from Honors College at MSU, because you say his scholarships equaled full tution, and as there are only a few number of scholarships available to international students, the only way it is possible to get scholarships equaling full tution is the tution waiver.
