So I’m guessing I did get accepted, but it’s still strange that I can’t view my admission decision on the portal. Yeah, I’ll definitely call them up tomorrow and see what’s up.

Congrats to everyone who got in and for those of you who didn’t, keep your heads up. There will be some place that will be both happy to have you and a great fit for you :)

@youdon’tsay - funny. My D is not worried about the accusation of GW fudging of numbers either as she really wants to attend. I was just curious.

Thanks for the responses. I’m hoping for good FA. As I stated before, she is getting $10k scholarship yearly for 4 years so that would help.

Why do they make you wait extra days after acceptance to determine the FA? Poor kids already waiting long enough for acceptance! Patience is definately a virtue.

@babyk120 I’m in the same boat. I received a 30,000 a year scholarship, but sadly this is not enough for me to be able to attend. (my mom lost her job a couple years back) I just really want the fa to come out.

Also, has anyone received the paper acceptance packets yet or know when they are supposed to be mailed out?

Good Morning, has anyone drove to campus before? My D and I are planning to visit in April for admitted students, but i’m hearing driving to DC (especially near campus) can be very challenging. Any suggestions? Should we take amtrak? this will be my first time driving to DC so i’m not sure what to expect.

Is anyone still waiting for their decision? I was told on monday that I would hear by close of business on Tuesday. It’s Thursday now and I’m still waiting :(

babyk, earlier this month, myself, ds and dh flew from Texas to DC to check out Georgetown (he was accepted EA). We used only the Metro and a shuttle bus out to Georgetown. I cannot imagine trying to drive and park in the GW area. It’s definitely doable via Amtrak and the Metro. Good luck!

babyk, I also took the metro there. Was very easy and about 5 minute walk from the nearest stop.

I was actually advised to take metro due to ongoing construction, but it seems many students use it for their transportation means - it is easy and accessible.

International Mom here. DS been accepted to GW and American. We are trying to arrange a trip to visit for week after next. Can anyone recommend a hotel? Thanks.
