Official Harvard Transfer Thread

No, you definitely read right! That's my twin brother, Andrew. He's at the University of Georgia and is looking to transfer to Swarthmore (ew, too small). I posted in the Swat forum with his stats for him bc he's freaking out! Honestly, I hope it works out for him more than it does for me, because he's genuinely unhappy where he is. I'm not unhappy, I just see the opportunity to be happier.

(don't know why i'm suggesting this because you would become by competition but) have you considered columbia? i guess you could call new york city a large city :)

Yes, I'm actually applying to Columbia as well, though I have my heart send on Harvard.

what's your intended/current major?

Hey. do you think that Harvard even consider any transfer applicant with sat score like a 1820.
all in the 600's

well, if you're applying for sophomore standing, this would certainly be much more detrimental to your chances than it would be if you were applying for junior standing.

know of any transfer who was accepted with a low sat?

ivy-transfer: i'm not exactly sure yet, but i'm definitely pre-law.

fullmoonwisdom: frrrph was accepted to Yale with a 27 ACT (compares roughly to a 1800), but everything else about her was excellent.

how was she "excellent?"

she had a 4.0 after 3 semesters at a CC, had great recommendations... just read through her posts and you'd see what i mean.

181

Hahaha.......isn't it true for almost everyone?

We all could be happier elsewhere. I would be happier if I was on a space shuttle heading towards the moon. Sadly I don't have the money :D

Good luck everyone

I just realized I could have dined at the Outback almost three weeks in a row for the Harvard Application Fee. Mmm...Outback Cheese Fries...

I wish you all the best of luck! It's going to be an interesting next couple of months?

Has anyone received their user name/pin number yet, and all of that good stuff?

Hahaha that was SO random! I love it.

No I haven't gotten my pin yet...I don't think we get in for another week or two. Crazynessssssss.....

Did anyone get their PIN yet?

I have an Avogadro's number on my SATs...for those of you that only go to Yale that is...6.022 x 10^23/2400

My high school GPA was higher than Bob Marley

They had to create a new metric prefix for my college GPA

I feed starving children from my breast (im a male!)
in Uganda and brush the teeth of Piranhas in the Amazon

Do you guys think I can get into Harvard? I mean I don't think I really have a chance, I'm pretty academically weak, and the fact that I contracted 93 different diseases while doing work on 3 different continents probably doesn't mean a lot.

You're not funny......

Okay maybe a little bit. Did you use a fake breast or implants with a milk....valve(???)? You need to be particular about that stuff on your application man.

Don't worry about the diseases, Harvard can cure you right up!

I've applied for sophomore standing but now changed my mind for some reason. Should I contact Harvard, or would that be hopeless? :(

Did anyone get their PIN?

I got mine by e-mail them, and my status shows that they

have received nothing except for the application and SAT scores..:(

However, I sent everything that is needed,,

anyone else under same circumstance?

I haven't even gotten my pin! Should I e-mail them or is that being obnoxious?
