**** OFFICIAL June SAT US History Thread ****

800  up 40 points from my first 760 with no prep. So happy, great job everyone

So pissed. Probably gonna retake.

A bit dissapointed. I was expecting at least a 780.

780, which considering I didnā€™t have time to study is perfectly acceptable  Nice job everyone!

770, up 20 from Mayā€™s.

Iā€™m a rising senior, havenā€™t taken a US history class since freshman year, let alone APUSH. Did about a monthā€™s worth of self-study. Read AMSCO folks! All you need for the 800 is free online as a PDF.

Insiderā€™s Guide (Essential Content) is perfect. 800 on this and Iā€™m extremely confident about the APUSH test but I guess weā€™ll see. Iā€™m not really sure how the guy is so on-point with the information and tips he offers, but itā€™s almost uncanny. Itā€™s a fairly short and easy read (in a bullet-point outline). As long as you have rudimentary knowledge of American history, you shouldnā€™t waste your time on AMSCO or any of the longer study guides in my opinion.

REAā€™s crash course does the job.

APUSH does not equal to an 800 on the subject test.

How the f did I get a 690 on my history test? Is there a way to get this hand-checked? Iā€™m pretty sure that this is not my score.

My son got a 750, and I donā€™t believe thatā€™s his score either.

@ckoepp127, what is the website that you used Amsco for. Is there anything else you used also in preparation for the test?

My D got 770 and is satisfied. Thatā€™s 91st percentile. Of course it helps that she already has 800ā€™s in Math 2 and Chemistry. We mainly wanted a 3rd subject test score for her application to Georgetown.

@Corinthianā€Œ thatā€™s fantastic! She is set for Georgetown - my sister goes there and loves it.

@dan213 yea I read the Kaplan sat USH review book and American pageant, although this was overkill and I donā€™t recommend it. AMSCO is enough.

I got a 770. I took the AP Test, and then my school final like 4 days before so I just went over Kaplan summaries. Very happy with the score!

I am planning on taking the US History one in October possibly, but will the test be more difficult when I take it in the fall? What do you guys think? Thanks @kirstr and @ckoepp127.

Were there a few questions on anything in the pre-columbian era by any chance?

@dan213 There was one on pre-columbian Native American tribes on the June test. I donā€™t think these questions are particularly common, though.

I remember last year that happened to me, but I canceled the score, because I thought it was not to good.
