**** OFFICIAL June SAT US History Thread ****

Found a quote:
"Chicago’s transformation into a railroad capital was aided by the national trend of the time, in which the general direction of trade had shifted from north-south to east-west. Prior to the advent of railroads, the major mode of transportation had been the steamboat, which caused the building of canals and the commercial predominance of southern river cities, such as New Orleans. Canals declined in the 1840s and became regarded as "an old fogy institution—one of the things that were, to be superceded [sic] by new inventions.“6 They gave way to railroads, most of which ran east-west.”

What time period was the question asking ab?

Since new orleans transportation was mainly thru water I thought canals made more sense bc it would supercede new orleans as a water transportation port

When you guys mention how many you got wrong, do you mean your actual number of errors or (W - .25W) where W is questions wrong?

Actual number of errors. Then convert to raw score using 90-W-.25W.

Tomorrow… Are you guys ready?

Yep, good luck all!

Good luck everyone :)

Scores are up!

How’d you do @kirstr‌? Will a 720 cut it for HYP in Literature?

@SATandAPs Got an 800 in US Hist and a 770 in Math II, so happy it’s all over! You? And considering literature has the smallest curve, I would think a 720 is pretty good, but I honestly don’t know.

I got an 800 in USH too! Congrats  @kirstr‌

800 USH, it’s a good day!

@SATandAPs you too!

760 here, still happy :)

780 aka the one subject test I won’t retake in the next two years :)

740 :frowning:
is that ok for hyps? (i have 750+ on other sat subjects)

710, for scorechoice schools, would it benefit me to send this? (I have an 800 M2 and assuming I get a good score on physics in Oct)

740 after no prep and a month after APUSH ended

780 for my first one freshman year
