i just wasn’t ready for this… gonna study over the summer & reread amsco front to back , then get an 800
profit?

Congrats to those scoring 800! That’s impressive.

DS got a 750 and I “think” it’s a perfectly acceptable score, except maybe for the Ivies - right? I found a College Board chart from 2013 that puts 750 for SAT II US History at the 80th percentile…but the group of test-takers would tend to be higher-performing students anyway, correct?

I texted DS at school w/his score and said “great score!” but he didn’t seem too happy with it. There is no way he will retake, but I’d like to reassure him that it’s a perfectly OK score.

I’d welcome perspectives on this. This was DS’s first subject test, but he should probably take at least one more and I don’t want this score to discourage him.

TIA.

800! Woohoo!

@rhapsody17 I just used REA for APUSH…I only took SATII USH because it was like a week before the AP exam (this was basically my APUSH practice exam). But yeah, REA is REALLY GOOD (esp. if you need to learn quickly; i went through it in like 2-3 weeks)

I got a 790 is it worth retaking?

@rhapsody17 Unfortunately, I only received a 770 :(… not so great considering I would like to major in History or Political Science…Oh well, I did not study for it, I had other things to worry about. I suppose you could say that at the time, studying for the test was “not worth a continental!” :)…Sorry I can’t be of much assistance, but if you NEED to study something, I suggest you look at any notes you took throughout the year. There is no reason you should need a review book when they have online notes and videos on subject material. You could also look at political parties and their values throughout the time periods and court cases, which always show up. Best of luck!

@rvd333 if you have 50 bucks, a Saturday, and hours of studying to give up for the perfect, go for it. I’d do it, if you want the 800 club. Why not go for it?
