Regarding the Civil Rights Act question

“Kennedy’s assassination on November 22, 1963, changed the political dynamics of the impending civil rights legislation. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson succeeded Kennedy and almost immediately intensified the campaign for a major civil rights bill. Although a Southern politician, he had developed compassion for the courageous struggles of African Americans during the civil rights movement. His personal commitment to ensuring full equality for minority citizens, in fact, surpassed Kennedy’s.”

@crazyfrog821 - for womens rights in 70s or whatever, I said increase of them, in I think, education or profession or something like that?

Ohhh what was the one about Business?!! Like the impact of Business on US policy in the 1940s?
@smc101101 hmmm okay i think i said that as well

@crazyfrog821 - I said Taft-Hartley b/c that limited unions (1947)

Oh and the question about major government support of economic stuff in early 1800’s, choices were like state governments funded canal and railroads, government approved transcontinental railroad, etc.

I said for one of the more modern questions increase in white collar jobs? Is that correct?

@crazyfrog821 What were choices

I said canal and railroads, and i said Taft Hartley as well (at least i hope i did, I remember thinking about switching to the Employment Commission thing but i think i didn’t)

@MyRealName - I said funding canals and railroads by gov.

White collar jobs, decrease in service jobs, increase in factories (I think that was one of them)

What about the second great awakening question? What was that? I said the choice about science or reason I think.

For that on i said increase in white collar between 1945-1980

Okay. We picked same then.

@smc101101 I chose something about experts and knowledge? I don’t quite remember the wording.

Okay - that is what I put I think, which was choice a.

What about the womens thing in the 70s. What they got?

I know it wasn’t ratification of Equal Rights Amendment.

Sorry, I can’t seem to find the answer to the question about the music genre associated with the LGBT movement. Was it disco?

hsperson123, I believe it was disco (since the Gay Rights Movement truly took root in the 70’s). For the Second Great Awakening question, I said the result was more women involved in reforms. Women were in fact among the majority of dissenters in the Second Great Awakening. Also, for the question with the Mormons and evangelical revivalism, I chose revivalism because of this:

For Women’s Rights in the 70’s, I got more women attending colleges. Or something like that.

@squashaddict - Okay. Think I got something about education too.
