OFFICIAL Middlebury Class of 2015 RD results thread!

Waitlisted in IL with a 35 ACT and a 3.86 GPA. Got the big envelope today from Pomona, so I won’t be accepting my spot on the waitlist. Have fun in the snow ;), and good luck to all of you pursuing the waitlist.

Waitlisted. I’m a deferred ED1 applicant too. Pull me on a string some more, Middlebury. I’m going to accept my place on the waitlist because I love Middlebury, but come on. Honestly. They’ve passed me along TWICE. This is insanely frustrating, but if I get in then it will all be worth it. They’re need aware on the waitlist though, and I need significant aid (already got a full ride solely on financial aid to another school, to provide some perspective as to how much I need) so i’m basically SOL. Now the question remains: keep up with my grades or relax a bit and enjoy the end of my senior year?

Weaknesses: My school doesn’t have a great relationship with Middlebury

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Couldn’t tell ya

General Comments: I’m pretty surprised. A few friends of mine with far worse credentials were waitlisted or accepted. Not sure what happened here, but it’s no big deal. Middlebury was not my top choice. Best of luck to all who are on the waitlist!

Oh, and I am a bi-varsity athlete, being recruited for one of those sports elsewhere.

Absolutely. Earlier this week I was waitlisted by Carleton and Kenyon, and flat out rejected by Rice. Turns out I was accepted by Middlebury and (I think) Pomona, the two most competitive schools on my list along with Amherst. Crazy ****, man.
