i might live with a friend or rent an apt so it will only take me 15 min going local. hopefully i will get to do that! otherwise i will have to spend most of my time driving instead of studying! dainese you live in pasadena but went to mt sac?? and now you are commuting to USC? woww traffic is gonna suck!

and blue skin you gotta get there early to make an appt student services center opens at 8 get there at 7am and fill out that smalll yellow slip and see if you can get an appt with harry bloodgood.

will do! thanks speakbraille. and should i send in my scholar app or give it to harry when i have my appt with him?

you could do that. and bring your transcript just in case.

also, do you know where i can check out the schedule of scholar classes? i can’t find it anywhere. i only see the normal classes

you either buy a schedule of classes which is like 5 dollars. or just ask harry bloodgood for the brochure for scholars program. but its not time specific just shows you what the classes are …soo just get the schedule of classes book

awesome, thanks! ill be at pcc first thing in the morning to take my exams and schedule my appts. :)

did you already apply? get the counseling appt first

well i applied back when i was a junior. do i still have to apply again?

i think you do, just apply again to make sure since this is a different term? idk go check it out

Howdy folks. Does anyone know of the document or reference sheet that actually shows how Mt. Sac determines registration priority? I’ve been searching all over the place, but I can only find references to the policy, not the actual policy.

@dainese …pre req for chem 50 is 40…which I misread it “advisory pre req” really screww me over. I have no pre req this fall for my major or even pre pre req.

Unless I get place in Eng68…there’s not even a change to talk to Linda.
I really want her help…u said all along…but it’s not possible unless I move up my writing class.

my chance to LA is pretty much dead. “mt.sac slogan -dream” …really?

ugh. i’m still new to this CC thing. i want to go transfer as an engineering major, but i don’t know what classes i’m supposed to take. i only need 60 units correct? and what are the GE’s and prereqs??

@jet - as i know, it doesnt exist haha. if you find it please post back lol

@churroke - i would still try to talk to linda regardless of your english writing level. she will help you sort out your classes and make it much easier. i dont know what else to tell you but you should try to keep a positive attitude

if i had the time, id come down with u to talk to linda. either way you can make an appointment with her even if u arent a honors student. (well i think you can anyway…blackmamba did) maybe u 2 can go together. you can also tell her steve sent you and hopefully she remembers me haha…but she deals with so many students she probably wont.

@blueskin - where do u wanna transfer too?
you need to complete IGETC (which is about 60) to transfer
and for some majors, you need to finish pre-reqs.

but from what im hearing from fellow CC’ers is that engineering majors must finish pre-reqs and not IGETC.

[Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) for UC’s
IGETC for UC’s/CSUs
and privates have their own GE curriculum.

do you mind going there with me or blackmamba? I don’t really know what to say to them.

@blueskin:
yup at Dainese said, you need at LEAST 60 units to apply & transfer to a UC (if that’s where ur planning to go to! CSUs require a different amt but I think the amt is lower) Linda Diaz told me that if you’re aiming for UCLA, getting the # of units near 70 is good but even having just 60-60something is ok (: (but be sure you fulfill the pre-reqs for ur major <– they’re pretty strict about that… / join the honors program to get TAP if you want a good chance to get in (: )
And USE that assist.org site!!! It really really helps in planning out what ur cirriculum/edu plan! I guess as a tip: just be sure to have one of those semester class schedule booklets at hand so you can look up what pre/co reqs a class you’re interested in requires <– Oh! and another tip, try looking at all semester booklets if you can! (as in spring, summer, winter, & fall) each semester is pretty different in what classes are offered, so be careful in how u plan your classes out!
i hope all that helps/ even makes sense HAHA (:
good luck~~

Damnnn this thread exploded.

@ Churroke: check your pm.
