guys…so should I step back and take Pre-cal instead? …would it have less trig?

if you are only taking 1 class in the winter, id say its manageable. but id expect that you might be calling TMARC your 2nd home. depends how fast you can learn and how willing you are.

some people got it, some people dont. you can always ask the prof ahead of time what he/she thinks. as always im sure these guys/gals know a better answer for this since i never took 180 LOL :)

If you were taking 180 in spring, I’d say go ahead and do it since it’s spread out more. Winter though, I would try to get precalc or even just trig. You honestly use more trig than precalc in calc. But taking 180 over 6 weeks would be pretty terrible, it’s hard getting through the required sections in 18 weeks.

…and there you have it. thanks jet :D

So you guys… I only got Biological Anthro Lab, which is just 1 unit :|

Is it even worth it to go to that class if that’s the only thing I got since everything else is full?

Have you already taken bio anthro? If not/co-enrolled I’m surprised you can take it.
And worth is up to you, if you had to commute from far away, I’d say it wasn’t all that worth it unless the unit is necessary for your college plans and it’s a hard one to get.

USC wins. 28-14

^ Haha. Did you hear about the stabbing incident at the Rose Bowl? People are too crazy about UCLA vs USC

lol yea…it was BEFORE the game too T-T
2 stabbings, 3 ppl arrested for attempted murder.

I’m currently taking Bio Anthro and I have a B.

But isn’t 4 the minimum unit requirement for Winter or what?

^ 4 is minimum for full time student. 7 is maximum.

Yeah that’s what I thought too… So should I take this class or no?

Hi guys,

It’s the dreaded finals week. I was in the middle of a timed online exam and the page froze on me. I had to restart the browser & now I can’t even access it & I don’t know if the prof. is gonna open it up for me again and in the worst case scenario I’ll end up with a C in the class, which is a major prob for me cuz it’s gonna kill my current GPA for sure. Have any of you been able to retake a class with a C at mtsac? Is it better to have a C then fail the class and retake it for a higher grade? Will retaking class harm chances of transferring out to a UC, for example? I’m in a dreadful mess and it’s stressing me out x 10000000 :[

I know that’s a ton of questions but answers would be appreciated :[

i suggest talking to the prof, or trying to get in contact. im sure this isnt the first time that this has happened and the prof can probably see your exam and see that half of it is completely blank. if the prof ends up not being able to help you then… you can possibly petition the grade.

a C wont hurt your chances drasitcally, just get As.
i dont think you can possibly fail the class now if you said you’ll end up with a C.
retaking a class isnt bad, but it isnt a good thing either…

is this class a regular GE? major pre req?

if its a major pre-req then you can maybe consider retaking it. but you can only retake failed courses…have you tried talking to linda diaz in the honors center?

best of luck on your finals guys/gals.

im not sure if they still do this, but AS usually gives out free stuff at the student life center IE: scantrons, bluebooks, snacks, instant noodles. as long as you paid your 11 dollar AS fee you can grab some! :D

^ Yeah they still do it. Got me some scantrons and greenbooks. Passed on the noodles. haha Hate microwave cup noodles.

Hey guys where is the financial aid office?

I don’t see it on the map. Is it in the Student Services building? Or student life center?

student services, 2nd floor next to counseling. :)

awesome thanks alot. If im dropping a form off will I have to wait or is there a box or something

theres usually no line. theres no box that im aware of.
