guys!!! when do we registered for spring??? …I clicked on it…it said “you are currently not registered for spring”

Happy New Year guys.

Relax. Spring registration starts Jan 19th…

looool oh okay thanks!! x___x
@dainese: D8 = D <– the mouth 8 <– the eyes = horrified expression

oh LOL fail hahahahaha

hey guys if you’re waitlisted for a class do you show up on first day with a print out or something? Or is your name enough for the professor

I’ve never started semester on the waitlist so that’s why im asking. And this time i might since im 4th on the list and theres a week left until winter session

usually i see other students just show up if there on the waitlist, I’m Guessing the professor knows your waitlist position?

happy new year

Mt sac spring registration starts on the 19th!? wow that seems really late…already registered for Winter/Spring classes @ PCC. Sucks I couldn’t get good major pre-req classes (bio major) so I guess I’ll be stuck for a 3rd year…no biggie. Does anyone here know of anyone who have applied to pharmacy school straight from a community college? I know its possible to apply straight from a JC but does anyone here know anybody who went around with that route? Thanks.

Hi guys I have a question. I am going to take an English placement test this week, but have no idea about it since I am a kind of international student. Are their questions like TOFLE one? something about social problems or economic issues? or just like personal questions? if you guys know any sample topics, could you give me some examples?

^ You have to write an essay…

@nifloe - yes i believe so. id bring paper work of registration because you generally need it to prove your registration date. even if u are waitlisted i suggest showing up on the first day prepared with EVERYTHING. IE: registration date proof

@speakbraille - id suggest asking the people in the honors office about this question since its very specific. or the transfer center. you can also ask the college representatives that come down to mtsac during college fair and find out if they do have some kind of program that takes CC students.

@ellie - what blackmamba said. its just an essay.
and its not about quantity, its about quality.
have proper essay format, correct grammar, spelling, etc.

gl!

I have a question. If the the registration date is in the 19th.

Will the ones that are taking English in the Winter be able to register into the “next” English course?

yes they will

@Dainese what printout exactly do I need if I’m on the waitlist? I’m guessing the Student Detail Schedule where it shows the information for all the classes im waitlisted/registered for?

^ Go to my portal and print out “Print Your Schedule/Receipt”

yup, what blackmamba said

thanks

oh of course lol

thats my freshman mentality at work

are language classes like germ 1, jap 1, span 1 going to be extremely difficult if u have not taken a foreign language class at SAC? Last time I took a foreign lang was Sophomore year in High School.

or is it the same level of difficulty for everyone in the class?

the date I waitlisted for classes isn’t shown in my "Print Student Schedule/Receipt’'. All it shows is that i am waitlisted but no date.

the dates are shown in Student Detail Schedule and Add or Drop classes

Do I print one of those out instead?

Also, do professors allow you to leave and try and register for another class that you’re waitlisted for even though it starts in the middle of there class?

has anyone taken phil 3: logic in practice with McGruder? Distance learning or on campus? how was it?

@starscatteredsky unfortunately I haven’t

Is it highly likely I can get into a class if my waitlist position is 2?
and Do I still print my schedule/receipt for the professor even if it doesn’t show the date I waitlisted for that class? (it just says you are on the waitlist, no date or position though)

@nifloe: you have a very high chance to get into the class you wait-listed for. The professor will have a print out for the waiting list, so you don’t really have to print it out. Good luck! =)
