^If it’s the green one “Studying Engineering” by Landis, I’ll sell it to you for $20.
Anyone taking Phys 4B, Chem 50, Math 280 or Engineering 40 this spring?
I looked at my schedule and I could fit all four in 2 days (9:50 AM - 10:00 PM). Which would leave me some time to be able to work part time. Has anyone ever compacted all their classes like this? How was it? Death?

@chihigh Regarding your scheduling. For the past 2 years at Mt. Sac I have scheduled my classes in that manner–two days a week. The reason being is that I worked part-time as well. It’s definitely doable, but with the intensity of the classes you have selected, I would advise you not to work more than 20 hours in order to preserve your sanity.

haha wow HEY STEVE.
I looked up ICC secretary on google and saw my name on this thread…
this is very smart! not to mention uber helpful. i wish I had this when I was entering SAC.

and futurebruin2011 apparently knows me, I wonder who that is…

hope everything’s going dandy at *** for you (idk if you wanted it to be disclosed here aha)

I have a couple of questions for the honor program:
1)Does anyone know the pros and cons for being in it?
2)What exactly do I need to get in it? (other than the GPA)
3)Do I have enough time to apply before Jan. 28?
4)Is the honor program any different from the regular classes?

Please and Thanks!! :)

Okay… crap after looking at assist.org i realized that i won’t be able to finish all the prereqs in a 2 year span… even if i did, that’s way over 60 units. anyone else notice this?

^ of course its really hard to transfer out in 2 years now…I still have another two years to go cause I didn’t start any of my major pre-reqs cause I couldnt get the classes at all.

@vanquish - some majors at some UCs do NOT require you to finish all your major pre-reqs or all your IGETC requirements. but if your major is impacted it would help your application greatly if you finished both

@Vanquish…LA and Berkeley are the only two that require you to finish. The other UCs are more lenient.

@Dainese
It doesnt really matter about the professor… I just want my honors course T_T and my major’s prereq course sigh
I heard because of budget cuts, there’s going to be a 10% cut on class (whatever that means oo; & there’s been a few million $$$ (six I think?) cut from the school itself… I talked to one of the honors counselors and she told me that it’s definitely going to get tougher in the coming semesters D’: !! AAAUUGH WE DO NOT NEED ALL THIS CRAP HAPPENING RIGHT NOW LOL ):
& yup yup, of course, with the budget cuts, UCs & CSUs are definitely going to be even harder to get into… sobs

So, has everyone registered/gotten their classes?

tomorrow! finally.

I managed to get 13 units worth of classes. They aren’t exactly the ones I was hoping for, but if I stick with them then I’d atleast be done with the Arts and Humanities+ Social Sciences portions of the IGETC. I also got on the waitlists for the Physics and Chem classes I wanted, so I’m hoping those move along smoothly. I’m just kinda hoping a spot opens up for a Pre-Cal waitlist. I’m taking Trig now and I don’t want to resort to taking another math class during the next intersession…

whoever took the last spot on the teacher that I want for calc.

┌∩┐(ಠ_ಠ)┌∩┐

^ Hahahaha

How tough is physics 4a and 4b i really want to know, and also is frank tran a really tough teacher for math 180? I am really worried please help!!!

Ftran is cool and not that hard.

so as long as i study is it pretty easy to pull an A in his class? also do you know anything about the physics classes?

His A is easy to get if you do all the work and are decent at math.

No clue on the physics classes, taking 4A myself in Spring

oh sweet dude haha thanks alot and good luck in physics :)
