Anyone know if it actually help to be a girl aplying to engineering or a legacy applying as ed?

@ikadiggit cool man. Used to play baseball with some kids from central PA. I’m from CT

@daisy15 Oh yeah. Everybody loves a girl engineer hahahaha

@Daisy15 yes it really does help. My cousin got into penn engineering and girls only comprised 15% of her college

@Nardog15 Aww cool…you’re into those stand and wait sports?

I think I’ve just seen it somewhere on NU website that the Dean of Engineering actually said they want more girl engineer! Lucky you!

@ikadiggit got to be prepared for anything at any time. True reactionary sport. Nothing harder skill wise in sports than hitting a baseball

Haha I’m just kidding you. Never played so I don’t know squat about it.

I applied to engineering too (girl here too!). Do you guys think that majors determine admission? My scores aren’t that high and I’m scared that I won’t be accepted since Engineering is especially hard to get into. What do you guys think?

@plsacceptme101 how’s your math?

@ikadiggit haha sorry if I sounded rude. Can get heated about baseball sometimes

@Nardog15 Nah I knew what you meant. I get the same about XC

@ikadiggit I could never put up with all that running

@ikadiggit it’s a 27 lol. I’m retaking the ACT again this saturday but they won’t get those scores for ED. I just decided to do ED on Friday too, but because of my scores now I’m thinking I should’ve done RD.

If NU doesn’t work out, I have UChicago to be rejected too!

@Nardog15 It’s pretty crazy sometimes and I’ve never been in a more exciting situation than a race with 500 other people in the pouring rain.

@plsacceptme101 I guess you already know those are a little low; my SATs are the same. Is there ED 2?

@plsacceptme101 How did you only decide Friday? The deadline was 11/1. And also just fyi ED helps you if you have lower stats!

@bamboo17 I was doing the Questbridge scholarship and didn’t get matched so they let me change my application to ED.

@ikadiggit There’s no ED II for NU, but I think 27 ACT is too low. NU has a middle 50% range of 30-34 ACT

@plsacceptme101 That’s nice of Northwestern.
