I haven’t sent mid-term grades either. Half my classes don’t even have midterm grades because the grade is determined in the end.

@worriedalways Ahh, I don’t wanna get my hopes up! But thanks.

Okay, my Albert says that 3/5 things are missing. Including my HS transcript, which I sent 2 weeks ago, my college transcripts which have been sent periodically over the past couple weeks, and my grades from a community college I took classes at over one summer. I talked to an admissions counselor and since I’d already applied last year, they said they had everything I sent already so my grades from the cc should be there…as should everything else. And the associate director that sent the email never said anything about sending anything else? So I assume they’ve seen everything…other than that Albert shows no change or anything in regards to the midterm email. I’m just hoping it’s taking a while to process because I rush processed everything so…I don’t know. How about you? What does your Albert look like right now?

Oh man, my HS transcripts were sent like 3-4 weeks ago and NYU apparently managed to not have them -.- I’m having my HS counselor sending them again tomorrow morning, thank good he is the coolest guy. I got this info via email, they take some time, but they are much clearer with you about what you are missing.

@ahuja

Well my Albert has everything checked off as received under my application status. There is nothing on my to do list nor is there transfer credit posted. So yeah…everything’s just checked off, which is what worries me, since I haven’t gotten any emails like you have >.<

He replied back saying I can email it to him so he gets it directly. I just sent the email and whatnot…now waiting.

I may pass out.

@thinkingthink when did you apply and all? (idk if you have already posted this). And it was to CAS right?

I didn’t have Calculus completed (applied to Stern), but they should have been able to tell that from my CommonApp and transcripts, so I don’t know why they asked me for my mid-term report.

I did talk to the admissions counseler from Stern, who sent me the email asking for my mid-term report last year, after I was rejected. She said that not having Calculus was a really big factor in my rejection.

I applied the day before the deadline, so March 31st. And yes, the CAS…specifically their undergrad dept for Neural Science

ok dumb question: do you think like the later you applied, the sooner they’ll see it? Like…when you print papers and the first one is on the bottom and the last one is on the top…

Hey guys! So last year as a senior in hs, I applied to CAS in political science, and this year I applied as a transfer to Steinhardt for Media, Culture, and Communication. Do you think you are at an advantage if you reapply to NYU, or even a disadvantage?

nooo… I dont think so. I think it all depends on how many people are applying to each school. Maybe Stern is being flooded with applicants whereas CAS has probably half.

ya know?

Also…does anyone know the acceptance rate for transfers? or how many transfers apply for each Fall enrollment?

Also I have not received an e-mail missing anything yet, but do you think Steinhardt will require me to submit mid-term reports?

i think it’s about 31%? I think last year some 5000ish? Somewhere on Google…

I’ve been told that Stern is the hardest to transfer into by a wide margin.

@everyone
Do you think people will hear back tomorrow too? Since the first round of acceptances were sent out last Thursday.

It really depends on the school. Stern’s acceptance rate has generally hovered around 12%. For CAS its about 10-15%. The overall acceptance rate was 31% but thats an aggregate.

@Loolala
Where did you hear that the first round of acceptances were sent out on Thursday? On the website it says that decisions will be given throughout the month of may. I don’t see how they can give decisions as early as tomorrow? But I guess anything is possible. I still have two things two be checked off on my Albert; it’s so irritating!

@npat89
If you look back on previous posts, a few people said they heard back last Thursday. I was really surprised too, since it’s so early!

@worriedalways
I think it’s different for Stern and CAS. I turned in my app on March 31st too. So…I don’t know. But I don’t think it’s a bad thing that you haven’t gotten the email. Don’t fret! This admissions process just makes no sense…

@ahuja21
I know, it really doesn’t make any sense. I’m starting to get paranoid. I keep checking Albert to see if my transfer credits have been updated. I don’t anticipate on hearing back anymore :/

@loolala
I feel like they have a lot of the forms but haven’t been updating the system. You should call and check, but people will be hearing back for another month or so you’ll be fine.

@hsclass
I applied last year to CAS as a PoliSci major and I got accepted, and I’m applying again to transfer…I’m not really sure how it would affect us. I’m hoping positively? But I’m not entirely sure.
