anybody gotten any decisions today?

@josephyang

The personal expenses part is only 1000 dollars of tuition. You can’t really spend less than a $1000 on personal expenses a semester, can you? =S

Books are also $1070 per year. You can maybe bring that down to 500/600 if you don’t buy books or buy used. Keep in mind, Stern has its own textbooks for many classes, so finding a used textbook isn’t the easiest thing.

Yes, it includes. Room and Board, which is $16000 a semester. You’re not really gonna find an apartment MUCH cheaper than that near campus, will you? Where are you looking?

So without room and board, you’re still look at a fee of roughly $46000 + off campus housing.

The breakdown is here - http://www.nyu.edu/content/dam/nyu/financialAid/documents/tuitionstern.pdf

@josephyang
So far i’ve received three emails after my acceptance letter:
-stern undergraduate advising email
-enrollment deposit acknowledgement
-information about my nyuhome and email account

also today in the mail i received a “congratulations” purple folder with nyu brochures and a formal acceptance letter.

have you received anything else?

Josephyang… So will you attend NYU given the financial aid award ?

mcc decisions tomorrow…what time should we expect?

@hummer how do you know theyre out tomorrow?

@hummer Ya, how do you know that it will be released tomorrow?

well since NYU decisions go out on thursdays im assuming we should hear tomorrow…could be completely wrong but its getting pretty late in the process here

Last year MCC literally released around June 1st. I think tomorrow is optimistic, we may have a week or so left.

Anybody know when we’ll hear about housing?

I actually called this week about MCC, and they personally checked my file and said I would be one of the people who hear this week. I asked if there was any good news, and she said she wasn’t allowed to say good or bad, and regardless she didn’t even know…hope she wasn’t lying to me lol.

@hsclassof2011 I hope you’ll have some good news to share to us by the end of this week! Btw, did you send in your second semester grades? And also don’t mind asking but are you transferring from a cc or a 4 year university?

Hey guys, I’m sure this question has been asked before but I cannot find the answer. Do we get our results via snail mail or email?

E-mail. If you get accepted, you’ll receive a package in the mail a few days later as well.

Anyone get any emails today? Good luck guys! Hopefully there are some cool Stern people to meet :D

Anyone hear about housing yet? I sent in my deposit last Friday.

I think Stern has already sent out all decisions. Or at least that’s the impression I got when I spoke to a Stern admissions counselor.

@giantmidget I don’t think so because I have yet to receive a decision. Maybe I will later today though.

Hey guys, I’m looking for a Stern roommate. I’ve got a true 2 bedroom apartment in SOHO for $1375/month. Really nice and only minutes from campus. message me for details and pics. Also, good luck to those still waiting!

Admitted to Stern!!! Was put on the wait list to CAS last year if it helps anybody still waiting.
