Official NYU 2013 Transfer Thread

My financial aid said 2013 before my acceptance. There are now two slots: one has the prevailing “2013;” the other has “2014.”

I was sent an email!! But it’s also on Albert!

Another week gone. It would be inhuman of them not to accept us after making us wait like this.

AO updated his blog “While we have started to notify transfer applicants of their admission decisions, many students will not receive their admission decision until late May/early June as we continue to determine how many spaces we will have available at NYU this fall.”

Let’s be patient and wait…

Hey kimm328, what’s your major? MCC?

I was accepted this afternoon to Steinhardt! I was so relieved to finally receive that email! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

When did you get the acceptance letter to Steinhardt? I’m so nervous now. Are a lot of people accepted to Steinhardt already? Will I be rejected then?

I found out this afternoon via email! And I am steinhardt applied psychology

I found out this afternoon via email around 12:10. I am an applied psychology major. I don’t think it means that you’ve been rejected. There is still time, keep your head up :)

It appears that today is Steinhardt day

I was accepted last Tuesday, and my preliminary statement of transfer credit just showed up on Albert. I received (tentative) credit for everything, and I took some really weird stuff: “Imagining the Self in Art,” “History of Jazz,” “Studies in Production.” I even got one extra credit! I took 15 credits and my statement says 16!

Maybe stern tomorrow ?

^ NYU tends to release decisions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I expect Stern and CAS will be next week.

Is Maria Bartiromo your role model?

If I haven’t heard anything back from Steinhardt, does it mean I am not getting in? Because today seems to be a steinhardt day :(

Got my acceptance letter this morning to CAS! Officially accepted and filled out housing, now to find a roommate…

Also worried as a fellow Steinhardt MCC applicant!

whoever got accepted to CAS, could you please briefly tell us about ur stats !

Hey guys, I made a group for newly accepted Tisch 2013 transfers!

Join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/543216729050124/

for the person that wanted stats:
College: Large southern state school (honors college)
High School GPA: 4.0 uw
College GPA: 3.71
ACT: 34
Significant E/C: a ton of volunteer hours, one significant campus fundraiser, and a pretty unique campus job, if that counts
Hooks: didn’t request financial aid, and kind of an overcoming challenge/adversity angle

-honestly, I think my essays must have gotten me in, because they don’t seem to emphasize SAT/ACT scores (and mine was taken 3 yrs ago) and my college GPA isn’t spectacular by any means. If I rated my recommendations out of 10 I’d say professor-6 (generic) dean-5, high school principal- 10
Good luck!!
