Official October SAT Math Discussion

I know what I did wrong. I forgot to add 21 at the end d my list. But thank you, Philovisist, for breaking down how to take a median to ever single step. I don’t know how I could ever get on without it.

I said 4 for that one I think

I think I got 4 as well… It’s crazy was Calc does to you because I automatically thought of f’ and what f(x) is doing based on its graph :/

I was about to pick 4 too but i omitted it

Was it only me but i had 4 math sections so i think one of mine was the experimental

anyone else get 250 for the 60% student population or something

I had four math sections

For the trail one … pretty sure it was 8/3

seems like its half / half getting 2/1 or 8/3
so im gonna assume everyone got the 8 correct

i thought it was like every 6 meters or whatever

as Optimal stated in page 7 of this thread

"The question stated that the trail was 19 miles long and that there was a marker every 2.5 miles and a rest stop every 6 miles. There was also a marker at the beginning of the trail (I believe that the question did NOT state there being a rest stop at the beginning of the trail). "

IT DID NOT STATE THERE BEING A REST STOP at the beginning of the trail so its 3.

you guys probably read it wrong… i had like 5 minutes left after this section so i spent all 5 minutes on it

If I missed like 1 grid in, omitted one question, and got one wrong can I get like a 740-760

@UChalpz1 - was 250 even an option ? i got 150

I got these answers
54
2:1
1600
33
(-1,3)

but i know i got at least two other questions wrong… the k/exponents one and the parabola :(

150 is only the senior class populations…they wanted the entire school which is 250

Yes it did. But we’ll see.

IU couldn’t decide between 51 and 54 and guessed 51 instead. :frowning: and then I got 160 instead of 1600 due to a calculation error more :(

awww seriously damn theres goes my 800 so i got the senior class one wrong

so is 2:1 right or wrong?

It was 2:1…

2:1 is right

@byah You’re in denial, I’m pretty sure it did. Don’t worry, I made lots of stupid mistakes too if it makes you feel better

@Ni, Im pretty sure the TOTAL class was 150 in which 60% of the senior population was in. So 60% of 150 = 90 and the other 40% is 60 so the senior population is 150

I think the curve on this is going to be super evil.

So far from glancing through the 18 pages of this thread I’m still at 100% but I have a feeling it’s going to be like the January SAT all over again where -1 is 760.
