@OtterOverlord the Yale applicant portal indicates that RD decisions will be released on March 28th. Therefore, the other Ivies will be releasing decisions on that day as well. (Ivy Day!)
@Hephaestion @musicmeister22 How do you know that it will be at 7 pm ET? I’ve heard that historically it’s been at 5 pm ET but don’t remember where. If it’s at 7 pm, dang, I have jazz band rehearsal then and there’s another Princeton applicant in my section. :-SS
@frazzledazzle I’ve heard 5pm-ET too. ~ Oh, that’s stressful.
When do they usually announce the specific time?
If its 7pm ET, I ll have to wake up at 2am to see my decision where I live.
@OtterOverlord @frazzledazzle @person2000 Please review “Application Dates & Deadlines” under the Princeton Admissions website. Since the exact time has been announced (7 b/c they don’t want the decisions to mess up school’s classes or something), I doubt there would be any change. But still, I’m not 100% sure until the admissions office sends notification emails.
All ivy league schools release decision on the same day and around the same time. And yes, historically it’s almost always been 5 p.m. and I’m surprised also.
@Hephaestion People are saying 7 pm on the Dartmouth RD thread too. I guess that’s when it will be.
Craziness…Princeton applications are up 14% this year. Sub 5% acceptance rates are almost here. My bet is Stanford will be below 5% this year.

@KnightsRidge Stanford’s rate has been below 5% for some time now.
Assuming a yield of 65%, the acceptance rate would be about 5.6%. At 70% yield, the acceptance rate would be 5.2%. And the regular round acceptance rate would be barely above 3%
@MaybeHarvard2022 Oops, sub 4.5% likely for Stanford. It just blows my mind how much more competitive admissions has become since the Stone Age of the late 80s/early 90s.
.
So basically, Princeton has accepted 62% of the Class of 2022 already…???

I think they are planning to accept 1295 more, so about 40% accepted
Still haven’t gotten anything about having an interview…Help?
@SCMHAALUM The article says they plan to enroll 1295 total, not 1295 more.
@MrElonMusk I got mine just earlier this week so don’t give up hope yet!
If there were 5,402 SCEA candidates, that means that there were 29,984 RD applicants. If they are accepting 496 new students (total seats - SCEA admits), that’s a RD acceptance rate of ~1.65%
On the other hand, I have no idea where their 1504 number is from… Typo?
@writergirl0316 the rate will not be that low. they will probably admit 1100+ students RD. The 1295 value is how many they eventually want to enroll at Princeton, and schools obviously admit more kids that they expect.
@MrElonMusk Twins going to interview tonight.
