@anxiouswreck true, I already took a fat L with MIT today so don’t need anymore hahaha
On the other hand though, there have been a lot of cases of people not submitting the PFAA at all and still not received an automated email. It’s all conjecture, I guess we’ll just have to see in a couple weeks
@nicolasdeadman Aw, I am sorry to hear that! But since you applied to MIT and Princeton, I can infer that you are a bright and amazing student that will be just fine
@anxiouswreck thank you very much! If you don’t mind me asking, where are you applying?
@nicolasdeadman Who do you know not submitting PFAA and still not received the automated email this year?
@quitpro i don’t know them personally, but some people on last year’s thread
@nicolasdeadman A lot of places, many of them against my will, but my favorites include Rice, Tufts, Northeastern, Yale, UConn, and Dartmouth!!
@anxiouswreck that’s awesome! hope to see you at either princeton, yale, or dartmouth!
@nicolasdeadman took the L with MIT as well lol
What does L stand for in this context?
@anxiouswreck If I don’t get in Princeton or Stanford, I’ll be going to Northeastern!
@prodesse I recently learned this on the MIT thread - it stands for Loss.
@nicolasdeadman I got rejected from MIT too.
@IlluminatiIsReal @thenorthstar i feel like we all got rejected hahahaha
I also received an email on 2/28 asking for my missing PFAA. I was thinking the same thing. Why would they ask for your PFAA if they rejected you! I have been trying to find a connection between the email and admission for days. About to take a big L after getting my hopes up for weeks.
@nicolasdeadman @IlluminatiIsReal @thenorthstar I took a phat L with MIT last night too
@LondonVall @nicolasdeadman @IlluminatiIsReal @thenorthstar I was waitlisted at MIT and I’m so annoyed. They should’ve just rejected me. I’m so lonely.
@ski_racer Getting waitlisted from MIT is still an accomplishment. Be proud of yourself dude!
I haven’t applied for any financial aid. I’ll still be considered equally as other applicants, right?
Because it is a mass computer generated email? It is certainly simple enough for a computer program to sort applicants that indicated they were applying for financial aid but still have a missing PFAA and then send a bulk email.
@planner03 but then why wouldn’t they send it to everyone missing the document?
